Something i Just Learned about Death Metal!
I've never really... thought what death metal bands actually said in their lyrics, since i could barely understand it, since they growl like ... you know what. But i just read some lyrics.. Heres the lyrics for my favourite Death Metal Song!

Notes on "Forever"
There isn't a place where i can find the "Full Lyrics". In case you didn't know, The Berzerker is VERY morbid, and they talk about a 24 year old man killed his mother, and then confessed to have killed a lot of people in the last 2 years, cannibalizing and such.
Is this because its sensored, or what?

I don't know if Slipknot is condsidered Death Metal, but Wait and Bleed is probably the song I like most that's closest to Death Metal.
Conveniently, I find this song to have great lyrics.

I really like the reference to the Manchurian Candidate. This song was written before the update, and refers to the 1962 classic with Frank Sinatra. Good movie, good song.

OK thanks for the clarification. One thing I am horrible at is clssifying music in specific sub genres, so I usually take guesses, or lump them in a big genre, like hard rock, or rap.
BTW, just so I can familiarize myself with what DM is exactly, what 3 bands would you say are the most well-known DM bands? Keep in mind I'm from North America, so I may not have even heard of the biggest bands in places like Europe or Australia.

I thought the Berzerker were from Australia. Oh well.
I'm not really a huge fan of death metal, but there's not many bands I don't have a clue about the lyrics.

Mmm.. then you'll have to seek more.. I should remind you some band
Death( common they invented this genre); Amorphis; Children of Bodom; Dimmu Borgir( think the most known, but not the best); In Flames( one of the best); Morbid Angel; Therion
And.. as I know( and know it for sure).. Cradle of Filth is just Black Metal, not death metal
btw.. except for Death Metal.. try DooM Metal.. I think it's one of the best.. somke bands: My Dying Bride. Anathema; Lake of Tears. Most of them have many plays for Melodic Death Metal
I would recommend some black metal, but just few bands are worthy.. I like best Negura Bunget ( they are romanians too  )

I've heard of Cradle of Filth. The song with "fog" in the title. It was OK.
In Flames, I think I've heard of them too. As I recall, the one song I heard by them absolutely rocked. Pardon me, I must know search for this song on Kazaa.

Loool... Sorry to say it, but Dimmu Borgir is Black metal, and Inflames isn't death, OR black.
And Morbid Angel isn't as popular as The Berzerker.

Even if.. from their style I must admit that they sound Melodic Black Metal.. as for the morbid angel, indeed they are less know.. but you must not forget Death, as I said they inveteted the genre.. and In Flames is Death Metal  .. The Fact that on some albums they sound black metal and some of them DooM, is just another opinion, but mainly they keep Death Metal style and to a great job

Inflames IS NOT Death Metal! You must be kidding me. Inflames is good, but definetly not death metal?
I'm sitting here, listening to Inflames - World of Promises, just to take one of their many songs. And you say it's death metal?  .. Yeah.. and britney spears is New-Metal?

World of promises? You sure itīs their own song and not a cover? I donīt know, but I tried to search it with winmx and it says itīs 12th track on Clayman, and I think it might be a cover because in my version of clayman there are only 11 songs, and as bonus tracks often are covers (not always).. Yeah, whatever...
IMO In Flames is still death metal.
