Ah yes, some day... i'll be there.
btw, the first two pics on page 1, are from cuba tambien.
Here's some more Comandante Che Guevara music for your socialist ears, comrades.
You have "Hasta Siempre", a really popular Latino song all over South America. There are two versions of the same song:
version 1 (more defined and energetic) performed by "Motives"
version 2 (guitar solo style) by George Dalaras
And you have Cohiba by Daniele Silvestri
Enjoy! Good stuff.
(oh, btw, to upload songs, you can trick this site (http://1asphost.com/) like you're uploading .txt files, and you got it)

Engels:
"Have these gentlemen (the anti-authoritarians) ever seen a revolution? A revolution is undoubtedly one of the most authhoritarian thing in existance. It's an action where one part of the population forces its will upon the other part through the use of guns, bayonettes, and cannons - authoritarian means, if such things can be said to excist at all. And if the victorious part doesn't want to have fought to no use, it must secure and preserve its dominion through the help of the fear their weapons brings to the reactionaries. Would the Parisian Commune have lasted even a single day if they had not applied the authority of the armed people upon the bourgeoisie? Should we not rather critizise them for not applying it to a necessary degree?"
(Lenin: Collective Works, volume 8.)

Ah, such an eloquent answer. I always loved Kautsky and that other fellow (Ber-something?). Not a violent revolution; that sounds much better. But can it be accomplish? Does not the social democrats (or menscheviks) take the risk of being corrupted by the system their boschevik brethern wanted to destroy? Isn't it the menscheviks who are leading Europe's headlong race into privatization and free trade?

I suppose you meant Bernstein, comrade terje. He's alright in my book.
And the mensheviks are not the same with social-democrats. First, you know, the name means "those in minority", and even though ideologically they might have appeared to be social-democratic, in practice they pursued a burgeois policy along with the rest of the government and brought little change to the troubled Russian society.
And if we're talking present social-democrats then I agree, they've gone far off their initial principles. Not really too deep into stinky liberal waters, but what concenrs me is that they're not doing any efforts to get out from there.
The songs comrade iyy provided are:
1. ????
2. Those were the days - Leningrad cowboys
3. Yellow Submarine - Leningrad cowboys
4. Soviet anthem
5. Back in the USSR - Leningrad cowboys
6. Kalinka - Leningrad cowboys (u all know this one)

Yes! Bernstein it was!
Some more goodie quotes:
"Money is the alienated essence of Man's life and labour, and this alienated essence dominates him as he worships it." - K. Marx
"The ruling ideas are the rulers' ideas." - K. Marx
If you apply that last one to the modern world, you get some pretty interesting results, considering democracy and human rights...

That site is amazing! I guess there's no more need to post Soviet songs. Resort to Cuban, comrades! (at least until comrade iyy finds a cuban site alike the soviet one )
There's also an enormous gallery of posters from the Soviet era, presenting the propaganda machinery of the time. Quite a useful resource for any comrade studying history, plitical science, journlism etc.
Fine samples:

Isn't it just typical?
Once they see something that isn't owned by an individual, they have to begin to extrapropriate it.
Well, good thing we don't use cars then. Bicycles suffice to us socialists, who don't have to rush off to make sure we don't lose any of the profits our slaves have produced for us...

Not really communist in any way special, but I still think this song represents what I expects and craves from a future socialist society:
Imagine
Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...
Imagine there's no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.

Hsss, of course its communist. It only lacks the word.
No posessions, no religion, no hunger, no nations.. this song screams communism.
One of my favourite lyrics, seriously.

Exactly the same as Stalinists, actually. The only difference is that there is a significant amount of Maoists, while Stalinists are nearly extinct.
I live in Toronto so I get to see a lot of chinese people, and at the middle of our chinatown, every single store carries copies of the so called "Little Red Book", statues, keychains and photographs of Mao. You won't see that in Russia, that's for sure.

It's smacking full of maoists from the 70's, who for some reason got tired of their self-proletarization projects, and went back to the safe life as an academic...
