Oh, I think that getting a new sponsor is a nice idea!
Especially Mc Donald's is a good choice:
They provide food to people all over the world and thereby do their part to prevent people from starving. Now, isn't this generous?!

Yes, that was a bit foolish of me to start the changes at that time, New Zealand time is 17 hours ahead by the way.
And I appreciate those who are putting in the effort to make this a mutually beneficial partnership for the community. I had another talk with the McDonald's exec and we might be able to have McDonald's voucher awards to members who best help to facilitate a great transition into the partnership, and I already see some great efforts.
The google ads will move over once the new artwork from McDonald's is confirmed. I see some google ads have adapted to show McDonald's links 
As for Kitten's thread that speaks negatively and undermines McDonald's, the executive has seen it. He wasn't too impressed, but it came from the old times. He thinks the "facts" contained there are false and will personally prepare an official reply that resolves those misunderstandings.

Gotcha! I must admit this would not have been possible without the dedicated help of the known Mod Squad members, one of whom posed as Ronald Mc D and all of whom thoroughly and convincingly defended my position
I must admit I was afraid the joke was not going to work, but by the end of it, not only did we have at least a handful of believers, but those who initially thought it was a joke began having doubts!!!! Yeah, sure, of course you knew it was a joke all along, right
I conducted the joke by US time since most of our members are there, so no blame to me
And now the truth. It was MightyMage's idea and others contributed. HC is not in financial difficulties and I do not support McDonald's in any way whatsoever. I think it's horrible and should be outlawed. I haven't eaten in McDonalds or any other similar outlets for over a year.
Aside from immense amount of animal cruelty it sponsors, Mc Donalds makes money on selling food they know damages people. They spend great amounts of money to develop clever strategies to manipulate people into wanting what Mc Donald's knows is harmful food. Especially shameful is the targeting of children and association of Fun with food that causes physical degradation and related mental consequences.
HC is BACK!

That's what my friends, who smoke, say about smoking. Is it as addictive? Yes. But I'm a person who's been through enough crap to enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer. A tasty Quarter-pounder with cheese, no onions, a side of fries, and a large Dr. Pepper can be very pleasurable. If I die eating these things then it's ok. Smoking is highly unpleasant to those who are not used to it. And so is crap food. It's unpleasant for me to eat it. Like for you eating something you really don't like. So it is not a case of witholding from pleasures, quite the opposite. Some people enjoy smoking and alcohol. Tobacco makes me cough and alcohol tastes unpleasant and I've never put effort into overcoming this unpleasantness so that I can have the 'simple pleasures'.

I didn't believe it, luckily for me.. BUT!
There was one thing, who made me think "could it be true?" and that was when Val said that it may had been a stupid time to post the Idea.. But since it was April the first, i couldn't believe it.
