Mutiny
i was just thinking it would be interesting if in heroes 5 there could a mutiny in an army if either to many creatures from different towns were mixed in, or if the leader of an army is an enemy of the race of the creature(s) in it.. if the army leader had exp. leadership and/or some type of diplomacy skill, then no mutiny could happen.. but for example, if an inferno hero was commanding an army of 10 champions 30 griffins 2 cerberi and 1 efreet, and didn't have any type of leadership/diplomacy skill, there could be a chance of mutiny happening, in which a certain % of troops in the army would be killed in the uprising or the hero would be forced to flee back to the tavern.. realistically in a mutiny one would think the hero could easily be killed--regardless of his level--if say he was leading 20 archangels and 40 champions or something. it would be really weird though for heroes to be able to be killed by own army. a mutiny would not happen though, if say an inferno hero was leading 10 archdevils and 1 archangel, since the archdevils would prevail in preventing the takeover.. possibly if a mutiny occured the hero would be forced to flee back to tavern or something...being killed tho seems to extreme..
these ideas are mainly just for fun--i don't think any of them are going to be added lol.. just fun to think about though...
incase you are wondering what made me think of the mutiny idea i was just watching my crimson tide dvd... if you havent seen it its an awesome movie...

so its a random chance of charm being cast on your hero, and any units of opposite alignment could become mutaneers? sounds neat would suck to have a mixed army

yeah having mixed army would become much more dangerous unless leadership and/or diplo skills were acquired...
since diplo is already too good, i would say that expert leadership would be needed to negate the chance of a mutiny entirely....
without leadership, a hero commanding an army of troops that "hate" the hero's race, would have a 50% chance per day of being killed outright, if the total health of the troops hating the hero outweigh the total health of the troops supporting the hero.
with basic leadership, chance reduced to 10%. cannot be killed in mutiny--instead flees to tavern.
advanced, chance reduced to 5%. cannot be killed in mutiny--instead flees to tavern.
with expert, immune to mutinies...
note: as long as total health of the troops in the hero's army that like the hero outweigh the total health of the troops that hate the hero, the loyal troops would defend the hero, hence mutinies would only have chance of happening if one health total outweighed another health total. for example, there would be a 0% chance of a mutiny in an army of 10 archangels and 1 imp, if the hero was a castle hero...
another example: if a castle hero was commanding 2 archangels and 3000 efreeti, and had advanced leadership, there would be a 5 percent chance per day of the hero being forced back to their tavern...
note: heroes forced to retreat back to tavern would be forced to start over with random armies of just a few low level troops of the heroes race.
