Wild anamals...
Good idea bad idea? I think that there should be 'wild' anamals that fight and move arownd and stuff like monsters but the should only be out in the wild not in towns and you don't have to put them downbecause everybody should know that when you have a planit sutible for life you get well critters, so thats what I think. Do you think that to?

Good idea LordTitan. I like it.
It could be implemented like this: In the Map Editor you can mark an area as "wild". This gives any creatures passing through it a chance for an encounter with a random troop native to that terrain, or you could configure the force.
Once you've met the stack it works like any other monster stack. This could be a nasty surprise for a player who sends a halfling to pick up freebees in an area.

Cool!
This is a very good idea! Then you can't just scout with one weakling in a totally unknown area. I think that it should also be possible to decide "how wild" an area is going to be. The wilder the area, the higher the chance to be attacked.

Yes, it is a good idea. I have always wanted to see bears, tigers, lions, elefants etc. in this game. In the editor you should also be able edit how strong the wild animals there are. You could also say what creatures could be seen there as wild animals. Normally you can meet normal animals debending the terrain but you could edit and make a place wild of for example orcs and trolls.
I like this idea because
1.it gives some extra excitement to the game
2.the game will be harder (and funnier)
3.these wild areas are great places to level up your heroes.

The wolves and white tigers should become wild animals and the preserve should get something different. Also, they should bring back the boar from HMM2. If the hero's army is strong it should not be attacked by wild animals or it might become annoying.

hmmm maybe heroes could have a skill wild animal spich, controll or something like that. So thay could make armys from the wild creature. Creatures will have a dwellings in the wiled and thats the only way hero can recrute tham. But if hero dont have that skill hi/she cant recrut wild life.

You're not guaranteed that a wild animal has a fur. So any reward or (penalty) for killing a wild animal has to be individual.
And for some of these ideas remember: that humans are animals. So if you have an encounter with a wild human, you will have to hope for a bounty. Don't think you'll get much for the hide.
You don't get any XP for domestic animals because they're assumed not to fight back, and are anyway only decorations. If anything the Hero should get -XP for wasting time on unheroic actions, or the player should be punished by having the Hero abandon your cause.
Recruitment: You already have the Summoning skill that works this way. It would be possible to give a bonus to this skill in "wild life" areas.
Dwellings: The idea was that the area would be wild. There shouldn't be any connection to dwellings for the creatures in the area. You just randomly encounter wild-life.
There is not anything which says that the creature types you encounter can't be recruited in towns or dwellings. This may or may not be possible. Almost every creature you recruit in towns (except animated, undead and mechanical) are animals, and remember: humans are also animals.

if forest area was passable and with scouting penalties, you could encounter a manticore or some other fearsome beast in the forest. or a few trolls or a pack of wolves maybe.
and there could be travelling creatures who could give you quests.
maybe it would feel a little like travelling in fallout.
the idea sounds ok, could encourage keeping your single hobbit scout away from forests if forests were passable.
btw hobbits should be especially well suited for picking up freebies as they can instantly throw all the materials back to town with their sling. otherways i guess you would use cyclops or catapults.

Sounds ok...
But like mentioned before it could become annoying if u were continually attacked, especially with a large army, or at least feasable army. But there would have to be strong or at least unique creatures created. What about the guards that protect mines and such? what if you gave them the ability not only to walk around a small space near the treasure, but follow the target?? They could split their stack according to the strength of your army. Imagine you try to steal from black dragons. Its early in the game, the small stack following you could easily wipe you out. You have to make the decision whether to let the monster attack and kill you, which it would then go back to where it came from, or lead it to ur town, and potentially lose the game?

Maybe the frequency of attacks would depend on how strong your army is, it's more propable that a wolf would attack a lone halfling, then a full sised army, complete with dragons and all. That way, you woulden't have to fight a wolf every 5 seconds when passing trough "wild" terrain with a grand army. And I also think there should be different kinds of "wild" terrain, differing in theme, appearance and difficulty, so when you cross a normal forest, you don't need a strong army to defend you from the wolfs attacking, but you do need a powerfull army when crossing for example a dragon graveyard, with the chance of being attacked by bone dragons. This way by just laying the terrain, you could make some areas inaccesable in the beginning of the game, when the player isn't strong enough to pass the difficult terrain.
I really like this idea and i'd like to see it in homm5!

Wild animals: I like this.
But they would have to:
- ...be hidden, so they ambush
- ...never move around the map, only patrol a place
- ...never be bought in any dwellings
- ...never join the hero
These are the main things. Here are some suggestions:
- wolf
- tiger
- sabretooth
- boar
- bear
These could be the simplest examples here. There are way more creatures to propose here. But this is my opinion only, though.
* THIS SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED IN THE GAME
