Errh, it's full of battles and difrent weapons(might) And the same for magic (Magic).. Heroes 5 tote is builded on Dark Messiah.. The universe in DM is almost the same as H5.. Why the **** isn't it a might and magic title worth after your opinion?
It's nothing else but might and magic..
Example! Call of Duty 1-3 is based on the world war 2..
But after your opinion, Call of duty 4 isn't a call of duty game any more because it doesn't look like the previously games?

Demo
I donwnoladed a demo from here. I found it good and played and blah blah till it suddenly froze telling: "internal driver error in IDirect3DDevice9:: Present()" (I was fighting guards at tutorial). Then windows restarted on it's own. I then restarted the game and set graphics to medium, also switched display back to 4:3 [it was 16:10, because I thought it was better for my monitor]. I got rather far this time and I manage to die without crashing. Then when I reached some watery place ["reach the cyclops cave" quest] a cutscene came with some disgusting big creature but I had no time to examine it as my game crashed again, same error.
Can it be because it's a demo and "should not be considered completed"? Or my PC is simply allergic to DM like antipaladin?

Oh i can't remember if it's that fail i had too!
But my computer guy said that i should download a driver to my graphic card! And that worked..
If it's ATI graphic card, the catalyst control center is the way to go!
I can't remember what the Nvidia driver is called, but that works too..

Hmm... I never had any such problems... but then again, I installed my demo from a disc.

As the Gnu which has Disturbed issues said, it is surely a driver error. Try updating to the last driver.

Seems it worked.
Though it was quite very bothereing as I had a save just before that part. So after updating the driver I loaded it then I was able to watch the video about the ugly cyclops coming, and: "End of demo"
But at least, I know that the game would run.

I have spied on Dark Messiah for a while, and I decided I will download Dark Messiah: Elements for my Xbox 360
Now make a HoMM MMO please.
Lol I feel sorry for the fans that liked the ugly old "Might & Magic" because your universe is dead and will never develop and expand more...

Well, like in mm6-mm8 and homm1-3 up untill armageddons blade expo, it was a whole new universe aswell, and people were like "uuhm i dont think were in XEEN anymore guys"
now were not on Colony anymore, but in Ashan and i think they started this new chapter of the might and magic series with a very impressive blow.
I like DM just as much as i liked mm6 (in a whole other way of course, since the gameplay is far from the same).

Think twice; same universe, different planet. That's the crucial difference - Ubi threw everything about the original, 20-year-long storyline away, to their own detriment.
As for an impressive blow, well... Dark Messiah is quite well-written but atrociously cliched, while Heroes V's story is atrocious, period.

For a H4 maniac, the story Ubi came up with is crappy.
Right now I'm playing HoF, and the story is a total mess. I doubt you can understand anything without spoilers.

Whats so messy about HoF? I could understand that about the vanilla game, what with missing cutscenes and questionable translation.

I'm thinking of doing another run on Dark messiah but I have not found a single guide or wiki which tells me the differences in difficulty levels, for instance what's the difference between hardcore and hard?
