I think you did a very good job on this town...
Especially the special buildings of this town are interesting. Although for some, a water-based town seems impossible to set up, you have some good compensations like movement penalties etc.
Some "tips"  :
Well, as you said yourself, the statues aren't exactly fitting in this environment. Maybe you could put in something like Sirens (From Odysseus) that can paralyse/stun enemies when attacking them. It's just an idea. ^^
Also, I think that you should at least have some resemblance between the Charybdis and the Scylla. (Or is there. Pardon my lack of knowledge in water creatures and mythical creatures ^^)
Anyway, I like your idea, but I was wondering if you were intending to make to city look like a big bubble? oO

Charybdis is seen as the sister of Scylla. I thought they would do fine together.
And yes, the city is within a big bubble-like shield. So it could have great resistance in the greatest depths in the sea. But but on earth (normal) they have it as well so they can keep water within so needed.
Still no clue about what high defensive unit can replace..

Ah ok, thanks for enlightening me. I'm kinda noobish in this stuff (creatures etc)It's just a pity that it doesn't LOOK like the Scylla (more or less), which is generally the idea in heroes with the upgrades. Unless I'm mistaking and Scylla does look like the upgrade. (on the picture you cannot see it very clearly)

I myself can't find any picture of the sister. And since they never make the creatures exactly as in the stories. They could make the sister like Scyllia but without some dog heads or feet or tale.. Whatever. And yes, the picture is just a whirlpool they can make
And what's wrong with lv3? It's bit misplaced in the mystic race by most. So if anyone has better I'm glad to enter it.

Spell idea.
Tsunami wave = Small dmg but the enemies get flush back to were they started (At their side of the combat screen)

DEFINATELY a level 5 spell, if it's lower, it would own.

Or it would all non-water units back to their place. To give it some HoMM style?
Or another idea just like death ripple from undead, to damage all non-waters.
