Any creture that has fire shield will retaliate against empty space if attacking creatures or creature clones are killed by the fire shield!

05. Neutral or AI-controlled Harpy Hags often fly next to shooters, especially balistas or catapults, without attacking them. (Lord Zx the Zx)

TRUE. FYI : If they did attack, then their special would send them back to their starting hex, which would contradict their goal to block them.

Here was about the next round - Harpy Hags often fly next to balista and then stop ataking... Just sitting there until they got killed! even if you kill them with balista only (endless shouts) doing 1 damage hp in one round lol!

someone once said armor of damned doesn't cast disrupting ray, well it does if you do it against an army immune to curse say necro.  The problem is you are trying to stick 4 spells on a 3 limit.

i knew that a long time ago

and also dude, when faerie dragon is using magics, before u click on the enemies, u click on the faerie dragon itself, then click onto the spell book sign on the newly opened up window, then u can actually controll where u wanna put the spell exactly on the whole map but not creatures only.

This great thread is still alive, good!

Only a minor observation!

When you put one of your creature stacks in defend mode during a battle (by pressing the shield button), you get a 20% bonus on top of your current defend value until it is the next turn of this stack.

This could be a slight benefit for slow creatures in the new round, for troops, where the hero has high defend values, and especially for targets of AI shooters, which should last long enough, while your other troops are crossing the battlefield towards the enemy shooters.

The manual is misleading here by saying something like "defend bonus until the end of the round".

New rumour :

Sacrifice spell is level 5 spell. We all know it. But, actually it divided into 2 steps of casting.

First, Sacrificing step. Kill selected allied living troop with current number. It considered as level 5 spell.

Second, Rescurrecting step. Rescurrect selected troop with a number of health depend on the Sacrificed troop's health. It considered as level 4 spell. Like the rescurrection spell.

So, you can sacrifice Gold Dragon to rescurrect other troop.
But, you can't rescurrect Gold Dragon by sacrificing other troop.

which version of heroes does this apply to?
in my RoE... map "Serpent's Treasure"
i was at the end... so during battle i clicked auto combat.
The AI sacrificed my ogre magi and resurrected my GDs....

which version of heroes does this apply to?
in my RoE... map "Serpent's Treasure"
i was at the end... so during battle i clicked auto combat.
The AI sacrificed my ogre magi and resurrected my GDs....

I remember that in RoE Archangels were able to ressurect Gold Dragons, this could be a similar case.

Thats why they are copied three time.

the deathly glitch

if i remember it good, i read somewhere, that when you cast a sacrifice spell on enemy stack, the warning, that you can not sacrifice enemy creatures appears, but then, when you try to sacrifice that creature again, the spell... works, and you ressurect any your dead creature. i do not know if this is true, since i haven't played HoMM long ago, and for some reason i don't want to play it now
