I think you misunderstand me on two accounts.
Firstly, I unmoded RSF because we discussed with him, that what he was doing with abusing mod powers for jokes was a bit too much, he agreed, and he said he would fix everything. He lied - didn't fix anything and continued abusing mod powers more. I can't have a moderator that lies to me like that and abuses his priveleges. Such abuse is against everything what a moderator is. He's also been advertising his site without my approval, and that is against the COC.
Secondly, with this change I just want to do what is better for HC. Over the years people keep complaining more and more about how post quality deteriorates, how much spam there is, etc. This solution will put an end to it once and for all. And people who don't subscribe can still make 1 post per day, and you can bet it will be a more thoughtful one. I mean if you want spam just go to ubi boards. This is an opportunity to really keep HC something unique, quality and different. A really special place for those who value it.
And thirdly now we see that for all the years of running this place all I get is how stupid of an admin I am, and even that I'm like the Stalin.
Thanks to those who understand.

ok Val,
u want to make HC a place where u have to pay to post. thats perfectly fine, you put alot of time into this place and get little in return.
but as you think over the details i truly hope that you don not restrict each non-paying member to 20 views. alot of time has gone into many threads at and it would be a real shame if some of the great HOMM tactic and discussion threads are lost to the back pages of forums because non paying guest do not want to waste 3-4 of thier 20 views looking for good thread that they may not find
restrict posting to 1 per day, fine i think my stat page shows that i do less than 5 posts a week, but do not restrict viewing to such a small amount. when H5 comes out HC will have great numbers of guests looking to HC for tactics and such and restricting views would decrease thier enjoyment of HC. HC and AOH is one of the best, if not the best, site to come and get info, news, tactics and discuss all things about HOMM and other areas. take pride in what you made Val.
you may go months without having someone thank you for what you have made, and in those months how many posts will have been made???(excluding posts in the VW) a thousand, give or take. in those thousand posts u may not get thanked for making HC directly but in every one of those posts you are being shown thanks.
for you see that fact that each member got on a pc and waited for several HC pages to load so they can share opinions and views. this shows that they appreciate HC and what you have made. if they dont appreciate HC then why would they waste thier time coming to a place they dont enjoy???
those members also come back to HC each day. that dedication to this site shows they care about it.
and many members make quality posts and are rewarded. those members put time and effort into these posts because they want others to laugh and learn. those members that make quality posts also want to make HC better by giving something back to something they love. this shows that these members love HC
no Val, you do not get thanked enough directly, i admit that. but doesnt the fact that members come here instead of other forums mean they care??? doesnt the fact that people only go to AOH to get H5 news, me being one of those, mean they value it??? doesnt people spending hours making a post that they thing will make this place which they love better in some way mean they care about it??? what about the 4000+ members that have taken the time to sign up mean that they want to be apart of something that they consider to be great???
many people come to HC, post at HC, make quality posts at HC, love HC. they may not type "i love what you have created Val" as often as they should or they may not hug the monitor when the HC main page loads but they do care Val, they all do

This seemed, to me at least, very uncalled for. Whether or not you actually meant to insult Val by making this analogy, I hope you realize how damaging it can be to make a comment about one's nationality.

Guitar Guy's right on this account, I have been busy with RL but more than that I'd prefer to post nothing when I really don't have much to say than start posting crap and crying and whinning that this place sucks like some!
We all know that active posting comes in waves and simply put, it's been quiet and so have I. (I really don't feel the need to justify anything to anyone, espcially someone who constantly degrates others and bashes something he suposedly cares so much about.
Trying to make myself look good?? wrong again.
I've sat on my feelings for quite a while for the likes of memebers like you and if by expressing myself it comes in suport of the one person who deserves it, so be it.
And I say with honesty that it's pretty sad to see someone with your intelligence resort to childish tactics of "mines bigger than yours"! Weren't we discussing you?
What need did you have to turn it around on me? does it make you feel like the big man?? well if that's what you need you can have it.

I've heard quite often the whole "I'll make my on bigger and better sight where ALL will love me!!" but those people always seem to come back with their tails between their legs.

Val,
I agree with LordPC in regards to the viewing restriction. It would be a shame to limit how much we can read (what if we're just trying to catch up?)
but as a less active member who would likely not pay, im very content with the one post a day rule.
(I'd suggest someone start a "what's up?" thread for those members since most of the posts would be in the style of a letter to a friend just updating HC on what's been going on.)

Val, again I must implore you not to do this. It will kill the new member intake and drive away many of the older members who feel you've abused your powers as you have been accused of doing in the past. It WILL drive HC into the ground. Please, please reconsider.
