@ Ves

Got nothing to do with my losses.  Could lose 50 straight for all I care. Way to many unbalanced features for Multi player tournament play. It is perfect for single player kick the computers arse all day long, but if your looking for a well balanced strategic tournament game....not quite it with H5 yet.

Couple examples... recent games included every guard in my area of map was a shooter. And when I say everyone, I mean if it was a guard in my area guarding gold recources mines artifacts, blade of grass...it was a shooter. Which = game over before it starts.  In next game my opponent had PACK of Arch Angels join him lol... Which allowed him to easily clear Utopias etc etc, which in turn allowed him to obtain a spell power of 24 with Implosion. So HOURS of careful calculated strategic game play building an AWESOME army, being careful not to lose hardly any along the way, just to watch each stack erased. 140 Master hunters poof gone. Thats not balance...thats plain silly. Its just Heroes 3 race to middle get sick insane strong as fast as possible, hoping to do fast enough so as to make for the most unbalanced 1 sided battle possible.

I want to beat my opponent, not play hours and lose cause opponent beat map.  Maybe can return when map editor comes out and there are some decent player made maps available.

Was looking forward to a good game with you to Ves. Drats!  Oh well.

well then, once the map editor is out, the things you are complaining about would be resolved, as every aspect can be fine-tuned there.

hOURGLAss was not better than flipping a coin on who to win, what you talk about
..but i guess wasnt map's fault rather than h3 insanely umbalanced

Luck in guard strength, in h5 (one get upgraded guards other not, one get shooter guards other walker) can be smoothened by giving more power* to players at start. Cause if start is weak and players animals is just good enough to kill basic mines, week 1, then some races are handicapped e.g inferno is d.e.d

*power may mean: FREE: FEW: CLOSE TO TOWN: external dwellings, arties, exp boxes, prison? whatever? ..just more power

Try to kill Stuff on HG2
It was too hardly...even with luck
Or mb I had wrong coin
I mean that mapmaker can edited guards...and many other things
(include monsters join status) to make map more balanced.

i found the map i play subterranian treasures (i only like defeat all and BIG maps) always even matches. most games i play each players main hero loses at least one battle, and nobody EVER comes out of the first battle strong enough to go offensive. ive never had or been a super hero that annihilates everything in its way. never had an easy game. i always play blue vs green, so i dont have the red advantage.

yes,H5,disapointing. game runs slower than H3. i'd rather no 3D effects.some kinds of towns are missing.

well, there is definitely room for improvement here and there, but in my humble opinion multiplayer H5 is just incredibly fun. And when the most important problem so far is solved - no map editor - it will take the experience to a different level.

I agree, h5 is incredibly fun in multi.  Just recently I found out that you can take out the computer players in multi by clicking on those computer icons lol.

All I have to say is.. good ole Jinxer

As for the problems listed and such.. The map editor will fix a lot of that. I've been playing a ton of single player to become more familiar with the game, and it will take some customization to better balance the game.

Not to get too far off topic.. but I realized simply remaking a map like Hourglass probably won't work without some changes. Imagine Haven just building up 1 town getting 50 paladins in a few weeks since the map was so rich compared to inferno who can't keep up with that. You can come out of retirement Jinxer when some balanced maps are created

Hey,

- First of all, stop that whining

- @ Jinxer ; Couple examples... recent games included every guard in my area of map was a shooter. And when I say everyone, I mean if it was a guard in my area guarding gold recources mines artifacts, blade of grass...it was a shooter.

- I have played several maps getting the shooter TAG .. ** something ubi/Nival sort of missed ... too it's really random what and which guards you get on every....every map you play.
I have played some ToH games where ppl said in the 1-3 turns : bad connection lets start all over..wink wink ToH admins ! so dont quit because of a game bug, Jinxer or others.

@ Jb239 - I got some nice maps from : ToH H3 maps and I can see what you mean according to that hourglass. So I have to ..

accually as i remember hourglass each player had 2 or 3 towns early.  so yes someone with haven might be able to get a lot of paladins on a rich map but if they are upgrading to paladins i'm afraid that will leave no gold to build up another town.  upgrading monks to paladins is rather expensive.  i would say it evens the haven mass archers or pladins out when both players get multiple towns.   also seems to me to make truly closed maps you will need to have monoliths from one side to the other or make the instant travel spell unavailable.

Instant Travel needs to be banned via a TOH rule IMO.  If there are guards on map they should be fought. Plain and simple.

Yeah, but it was a super rich map, so when it is remade Ill probably need to keep the map rich, but not overly rich to the point where you can do everything you want. I.E. build 2 towns AND upgrade lots of troops through training. Also Necro could be too tough on that map.. imagine getting several different level 4 creatures to join and then turning them into vampires and having a huge amount to go with those 5,000 skeletons.

I might purposely add some bonuses for the weaker teams. An example is.. maybe make more lava terrain so inferno can travel faster. Im still tossing up ideas for balance.

As for Jinxers request to ban instant travel.. 1 thing Id like to point out is that it is guarunteed in everyones mage guild. so it's not exactly unbalanced.. it was created to go around guards. Until maps are made to remove it.. just agree with your opponent before starting if u want to ban it.

Welll.......I like H5, like it a lot actually.

There is a counter for ANY imbalance in game, trust me.

Yes Jinxer, in the example you mention with the 125 Master Hunters going poof.......well thats only because you let me become that strong. The game went into week 8

There are some strategies that people will develop verus each town type. For example, when playing versus Necro or Dungeon, one CANNOT let those towns venture that late into the game; you are spelling your own deathwish.

It's also funny that you kicked my arse very badly on Neighbours map with that academy town that many people tend to ditch. So whats up with that

Dude, you must come back and develop some strategies to play. You only play a few games and already ditch the game.....shame shame

I like playing you, and you will be back

regards
