Video games for blind people

Need someone guiding them:

Ok so you're in a corridoor, no, no, you're going into a wall. Left, left, oh **** too far. Right. Ok forward. You're now in a room with concrete walls and no roof, and there's a rocket launcher on the ground in front of you. ****. You just got shot.

Ok you've respawned. Nope, you're dead again. Ok don't die this time. Walk forward. Good. Yep. Ok watch out! Too late. God you suck at this game

Or an RPG

The dungeon is glowing a faint green. Wait, my bad, you don't know colours. Ok so it's not green. Don't worry about the green. There's some crystals coming out of the rock. Oh, and theres a pack of goblins hacking you up you might want to do something about that. Oh. You're dead. You should have killed them they were hitting you for about 10 minutes!

Ok try again. Hit the goblin. Nope you missed. Missed again. No that's the wall. Wall again. Still the wall. Just ****ing aim you fool! Ah you're dead again. I don't know WHY I bother if you're just not going to try.

Actually, I've read a few years ago about this funky version of Quake designed for blind people. It had all sorts of sounds to help the players figure out what's happening or where they are even without the visuals to guide them.

what if you just grab a broken CPU system and put them on it. then play a game on your working PC and just tell them what you are doing

yea keep moving forward, pick up the gold, excellent. keep moving

that would work too

LOL that might actually work, unless they just stopped pressing anything and you're not watching and you're like yes that's good, you just killed him, yep, and they've gone to take a piss

"You move forward, you see some gold to your left, behind the bush, you move closer to the gold, you moved past it, you moved back a little, but not enough, you move more back, and past the gold, you move a little forward, and you are now close to the gold, you bend over but can't really reach it, you move a little forward and fall when your left foot hits the gold. Your left food is now broken. You pick up the gold. You cannot stand up, your foot is broken. A pack of wolves find you. You are being attacked by wolves! You have died"

Are you saying that none of you have ever played text based MUDs?

@REalDeal LOL

I think text adventure stories are ripe for a come-back.  I loved them, except for the crappy ones, which all seemed to be written by one dude (can't remember his name)

what does MUD stand for?

Multi-User Dimension. Practically the text equivalent of graphical MMORPGS. Except MUDs are all free. And with no graphics. Oh well.

You could make a game which is really easy, like a spaceship game, that says "move left, a little more, back right 2 degrees.. On course"
