Ok, maybe I'll think outside the box like Lith.  Obviously Bill wanted revenge.  You've made that much clear.  It's also been stated that Bill intentionally killed Alex and with some form of poison.  What we don't know is why Bill wanted revenge.  But I have an idea.  If in fact Alex killed something that Bill felt close to that he did not own, perhaps it was something not alive in the first place.  Therefore Alex whouldn't have known he commited an offence.  Maybe in stead of killing a someone, Alex killed a something.
Did Alex by any chance kill Bill's hope of something (like perhaps escape from the island) by saying something to him, bringing him down, etc...
or, what if the motive wasn't related to hate.  Let me ask you that.  Was this a hate filled crime?

Was the reason that Alex was on the island related to the reason that Bill wanted to get revenge on him (in any way)?

Was the living thing or things that Alex murdered a pet or an animal that Bill valued?

Was the entire projectile living or was it once living?

Was at least part of the projectile living or was it once living?

Did the 'poison' kill Alex because he had an allergy to this substance? no, it was just the normal kinda poison that kills people

seems like people are assuming a bit too much in this game.

Was this a hate filled crime? i thought we already established that bill killed alex cause of revenge, so i guess it is kinda a hate filled crime

was this the first time alex set foot on the island? irrelavent

was the one he killed a relative of bill? no

would any other person have the same reason to kill alex? no. you and i really wouldnt care

Was the reason that Alex was on the island related to the reason that Bill wanted to get revenge on him (in any way)? yes

Was the living thing or things that Alex murdered a pet or an animal that Bill valued? yes (now lets try to find out what that is)

Was the entire projectile living or was it once living? no

Was at least part of the projectile living or was it once living? yes

Did Alex by any chance kill Bill's hope of something(like perhaps escape from the island)? yes

look at the alst question. you people are assuming things. you are assuming that the island is big, maybe some americans have watched too much of lost lately. but the island isnt as big as some of you are thinking. this has already been cleared up. on the first page "the man is dead on a small island in the middle of a lake/river". how big could this island be? definately not too big that someone cant escape

there is another thing that i think some people are assuming but i dont want to tell you what that is. read the recap on page 3 and make sure you ask questions about something that you may be assuming to make sure you are right

Was Alex on the island because he was hiding from something or someone or a group of people?

If so, was it Bill?

Did the murder of the animal Bill valued happen in the same way that Bill murdered Alex?

Was this animal a wild animal?

Was it a bird?

Was poison involved? yes

Let's clear this up, did Alex die from poisen?

This confuses me a bit. Did Bill kill the wild animal with the same weapon he used for killing Alex?

Did Bill have any other motive than revenge for the murder?

Are Bill an Alex aliases for non-fictious persons?

hmmm... more confusion...

you said there are no other people on the island (at least when we zoom in on the scene to find Alex dead)

you also said Alex killed Bill's hope of getting off the island

thus, there are two options here:

you are either lying and bill is there (dead or alive)

or something happened between alex's death and the point we move in, to give bill another way off the island

anyway, on to my questions...

is Alex missing any part? if so, was he missing it before he died? is it related to this incident?

the living part of the projectile is not normally attached to the non-living part, yes or no?

This confuses me a bit. it should make sense when the mystery is solved

Did Bill kill the wild animal with the same weapon he used for killing Alex? yes

Did Bill have any other motive than revenge for the murder? yes, i would say so

Are Bill an Alex aliases for non-fictious persons? no

---

you said there are no other people on the island (at least when we zoom in on the scene to find Alex dead)

you also said Alex killed Bill's hope of getting off the island

woah, misunderstanding here.

i said "Did Alex by any chance kill Bill's hope of something(like perhaps escape from the island)? yes"

i did not intend for the yes to be accepted as for the answer in the brackets. i thought the brackets were just brainstorming so i could better understand what you meant by the question. the yes does not apply the the brackets

thus, there are two options here:

you are either lying and bill is there (dead or alive)

or something happened between alex's death and the point we move in, to give bill another way off the island

you are assuming something that you should have asked about to. this may lead to you a very different mystery in your eyes, which ofcourse shouldnt be happening. read the above sentences (in italics) and see if you can pick out the assumption

is Alex missing any part?  no

is the living part of the projectile not normally attached to the non-living part, yes or no? this cant be answered with a simple yes or no. some non-living parts are taken off from the previously living parts. but some non living parts are left on the previously living parts.

Does any of this story involve fishing? yes

Is the once living part of the projectile wood {tree}? yes

even more confused...

how can my question not able to be answered by a simple yes or no?

a piece of meat stuck on a fork, would be considered normal
a fish (whole or part of it) hooked to a fishing hook, would also be considered normal

someone's head stuck on a pike, would not be considered normal

EDIT:
and my question for this round...

is the poison involved found in blowfish (pufferfish)? (or in other words, is it tetrodotoxin?)

We're Alex and Bill fishermen?

Did Alex cheat, for example by using multiple fishing rods?

Did finally Bill get so pissed off one day at Alex's cheating that he decided to bring some poisen, straighten out his fishing hook, poisen it, and then cast it at Alex, ending his cheating days for good?

Was the wild animal that Bill killed a fish or some animal living in water?

Did Bill kill it beacuse he caught it while he was fishing (i.e. the animal died because it could no longer breathe (once caught and brought out of the water) or his hook alone killed it)?
If yes, were Alex and Bill fishing together that time?

Was the projectile that killed Alex the hook?

Was the hook poisoned?

Was the fact that Bill killed Alex caused by a catch made by Alex?
