I did not come up with anything, this is it. How to play HoMM in its outmost basic ways to do so.
And, I am not kidding here, spells are, almost totally irrellevent in a TBS game such as HoMM. Spells have the only purpose of tipping the balance of your ways of tactics onto the battlefield rather in favor of your army in-battle or to aid your troops by killing as many as you can using a very powerful spell against the enemy ones. The way larger the armies are on the battlefield, the more useless these spells are. You will need a spell power of at least 20 or even 30 to help defeat an army of 5,000 upto 7,500 soldiers. Example: you get to find out that you are currently facing an army that has 50+ Black Dragons and the rest as level 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Now what? Those darn BDs are completely immune to all levels of spells. Your darn Arch-Angels are fully vulnerable to all levels of spells. I'm telling ya, you have to know what to do with those Angels to enhance their abilities to the max or, else.

I cannot agree. Yes, a spell's usefulness depends on the time it is used and might gains an edge after a point. However by the time it gets to this point magic can completely eradicate might. Yes destructive may not kill 5k units but a puppet master can own them and so on.
And no I was not talking about that
I won't fully get into it but let's see this one:

A mass haste/righteous might/endurance will always be a better option than destructive that are not even in the guild.

Fixed that post with 'Silver Unicorns'. Sorry, that mistake comes, indeed, from my elven game-play of HoMM3.
@Elvin: The rest of your comments are abilities uses of each Haven Creature in its pure tactical approach. Sorry, for not taking the time to specify these tactical options. Was doing a general idea of it all.

That's ok it's just that it didn't add up according to what I've seen. Some things have been tested and don't work well with some factions.

I'm confused. I simply don't get a single word of what this is about.
First you say Haven will take out Sylvan army with Chain Lightning (of all spells!), and then you say Spells are irrelevant and talk about armies with 5000 to 7000 units. Where does all that come from?
