Never thought of such an abuse but this can work surely after casting 3-4 raise deads as vampires will revive themselfs from one hit. That's why the guy with zombies is cool - can get last stand in a few levels.
Can't wait to abuse my beloved vampires.

Let's see, going by main skill:
Attack:
Natures Wrath: Not only is is limited in use for a low growth faction, it's weaker than it's prerequisite Battle Frenzy.
Luck:
Tear of Asha Vision: Huge help when you know the rough location of the Tear, and even then only saving a few turns. Otherwise useless (especially if there is no Tear on the map).
Spoils of War: 1,5% of the gold cost of your victims as bonus might sound decent, but it's not. Ressourcefulness is much more beneficial, or even Estates.
Leadership:
Recruitment: Only somewhat helpful for the low growth factions, and the requirement to be in the town at the last day of the week makes it very impractical to use for a hero that isn't guarding the town.
My ideal idea of this skill would be as follows:
At the beginning of every week, each hero with the skill is offered some additional creatures to hire, with the total cost relating to his level.
Estates: Actually pretty decent on a squire, but hardly a good choice for a main hero. Should relate to the hero's level, starting lower than the current 250, but also going a good deal higher on a level 20+ hero.
Enlightment:
Arcane Inituition: Hard to make good use of. Should be merged with Scholar in my opinion (like the Barbarian equivalent)
Dark Revelation: What kind of joke is this? Wasting a levelup for another? Okay, it's not completely wasted, but pretty pointless.
Summoning Magic:
All three primary subskills. +4 spellpower for a few spells is just pale compared to the secondary effects of destructive magic or the Mass spells offered by the Light and Dark subskills. As mentioned before, Master of Earthblood is the worst.
And of course, Elemental Balance. Although countering Fire Warriors or a Phoenix with this skill should be fun, it's just too situational.
Warlock: Dark Ritual: Wasting an entire turn for the effect of a magic well?
Wizard: Consume Artifact: I've never used this ability. Guess it's better than losing the stack alltogether, but still.

Natures Wrath is amazing because of you first three tiers. All you have to do is get familiar ground and you deal sick damage in the first round, especially with luck and/or avenger.
Arcane Inituition is situational but at the moment it's the only way for a warlock to ensure he'll get some dark spells. And that seems necessary vs orcs. Works well for those who want to go destructive because there are many units to learn the spells from.
Elemental Balance is alright, it can be a life saver. Situational or no it should be an option.
Dark Ritual I have used it and it's essential for fast creeping. Not all maps have wells scattered.
Consume Artifact is totally awesome. If you see a wizard resurrect 4 of his stacks within a single turn you know it can turn a game around.

Quote: There you go, horde of archangels won by just 2 vampire lords. At some time I got bored and cast a few frenzy spells but you can easily see that I could have won with my hero's attacks only.
You can now bow before my magnificence and pay me tribute
Just kidding, the trick is a courtesy of Edwin young Seems that last stand works every time there are 2 units in a stack. That is especially cruel of necropolis that can keep raising its creatures and not fear they'll die in one hit.
Is this a TotE-compatible replay? Cuz it doesn't seem to work. Doesn't show up in my replays menu.

Is recruitment calculative?(i mean if you place 2 heroes with recruitment in 1 town will the effect be twice as normal)
Edit:I'm too lazy to check it myself

Goblin support.
Estates is considered a bad skill, and it gives you 250 gold a day.
Goblin support gives you an equivalent of 20 gold a day, so its 10 times worse than one of the worst skills.....

Hmm... how about Plague Tent? If you want to deal damage, then the Ballista-path is so much more rewarding. I believe it was another thread that suggested the solution with that the Plague-tent should cast decay, or suffering or similar dark magic spell... and let it scale with hero level.

What I find interesting is how some useless skills simply belong to the game and should never be missing
For example, Navigation and Scouting. Not too much use, and yet, can't picture the game without those skills.

Not just that. Ok I don't care about navigation as I rarely play maps with water content but scouting can be great. That and silent stalker can save your game if you are aware where your opponent is or seeing his forces. The fact that it is a logistics perk makes it all the more worthwhile.

Catapult-Brimstone Rain. One part the lack of use, one part is race-specific. Sieging....is not SO common that you'd really want this skill at all. Especially when Ballista and First Aid Tent are more useful overall.
I especially have issue that it's a requirement for Absolute Rage. I can't think of a time I'd pick it, even WITH the ultimate on the line.
Resourcefulness sounds useful(More resources=good), but the trouble is getting it on a 'collector' hero(Someone stationed just to collect those resources....gods I MISS Heroes 4 in that respect-didn't need to waste heroes on stuff like THAT) at a time where it can actually BE useful. (Sometimes the luck aspect of the perks/skills you can pick is just annoying. You want one skill/perk, and still have choices, and you get everything EXCEPT what you want.)
That reminds me. STAMINA(Barbarian only). +2 defence=nothing special. One-time 10% health boost till the next battle=Horrible. It's too specific, and you've wasted a slot on this/will have to pay the Memory Mentor to get rid of it. Most of the +2 to X skills are a bit too specific, really, as their boosts are one-time. They're not things you'd EVER want to really keep, which seems odd. All the skills/perks shoud be major, something you'd really want to keep.
I'm rambling.

the worst skill I know is the one in summoning magic: Exorcism.
I mean how big is the chance that your enemy AI use summon elementals or something like that. It is half good at inferno but thats it. I would like to change so it works on all creatures
