I guess it's because she was a human Knight in Hammers of Fate, and has now become a Vampire. Story reference.

There are new skill trees in TotE. I can't remember offhand whether Necromancers can now gain Fallen Knight, you'd have to rely on a gameplay expert for that. Otherwise consider it a nice little story detail from the developers.

The Necromancer cent get Fallen Knight (in the new Skillwheel), but i hope thet Ubi will cheinge it.

She starts off as a knight that studies necromancy. My bet is that she changes class later.
The pic is a screenshot I took from the first necro mission in TotE.
Edit: Yep that pretty much confirms my suspicion.

It's kinda obvious if you hear the starting dialogue She has only 'learnt to raise the dead' so she starts with raise dead spell but Giovanni is about to teach her more later.
