This is question only for pros , because you can't find it anyway anywhere.
So I want to ask:
If I play Zoltan and I cast counterspell, if the enemy casts a spell and it's negated by counterspell, can the spell still be blocked (by his spec)?

Hello, everyone!
I was planning to get HOMM V for my lady for us to play via LAN.
We like to watch each others' battles when it is not our turn, similar to what you can do in Age of Wonders.
I know this isn't possible in HOMM VI, but I can't find an answer anywhere about HOMM V.
When it isn't your turn, can you see the battles of an ally? If not, is there a mod or something that allows this?

How the snow DO I make this HROES5 to load the AI turn in the background while I can browse because Im on a mission and it loads for snowing 7 minutes and sorry but im really angry already. i want to play!!! when i take it to the desktop it doesnt load......................................................why is it snowing hard to make a game load in the background so damn easy help. another hand.....2005 game cant run on snowing i3 and load for 7 minutes a snowing strategy game....I TESTED SAME LOAD ON VERY LOW GRAPHIC AS VERY HIGH HOW STUPID......why the snow they even cant make an option to load in the background and still wondering why nobody plays this crap? -.-" Also, heroes community doesnt have forgot pw, it made me laugh -.-". 2017. But seriously, it made me laugh, I laughed for minutes....................and i cant find the direct thread open button AND the comment on thread on a snowing forum.........i write this as 'quote answe..'. snowing help me or dont wonder why nobody plays this snow game.

What a problem? On the Windows OS - just use "Alt-tab", as I remembered this stuff works well when I played with ma' friend.

I am playing with my friends and 2 computers now (TotE) and i have surrendered 38.000 gold. But my hero not appears at taverns? 1 week passed and it's artifacts, army and of course himself lost????

I'm pretty sure that I've read about an AI command that sets it's behavior to be more aggressive/use cheats, but I can't find it right now. Could someone help? It is something like @Challenge_me

The AI already does that on hard  It can see the map and gets 30% or 70% discount when building its town, among other cheats.

I'm a scrub and I play on normal in 3.1, because I don't enjoy losing a lot of units when I don't have much options, that's why I asked. I would like the game to be harder at some point and the AI to do more things that are appropriate against me, but not where I mentioned.
I fell like this when I have 4 kinds of units and I lose a good portion of them, including 1/3 of my gremlins against Blood Furies.

Technical issue with H5 TotE:
-doesn't run without admin rights
-invariably stops responding and crashes. Length of uninterrupted game time varies, but it ALWAYS crashes in the end, no matter what compatibility settings I try
Any ideas?

Get yourself a way better machine. Come on man, even GoG.com is selling the whole package of the Vanilla patched to v.1.6, H.o.F. v. 2.1 and, T.o.t.E. v.3.1 and, makes sure the games are auto. patched before any attempts to launch any of those versions.
Just bought the whole thing and installed the first two versions and, they both worked wonderfully. Re-played the pre-made map of The Peninsula(Small map, 1 vs 1) and won it as of this very morning.
Just uninstall everything(save the mods. you put on that game before doing so) and, re-install that title. Make sure all of the PC's game files are also present. Otherwise, the game will continue crashing non-stop.

Hello,
is it possible to play HOMM 5 Vanilla with the alternative upgrade units of HOMM 5 TOE?
I once had such a mod on a different PC years ago but cannot find it anywhere in the web now. Probably I am just not such a good searcher.

Tribute to Strategist Equivalent?
I've been having some trouble playing this game, on the 5.5 mod. No matter what I do, Rush or Creeping, the AI will always have more level/spells/troops than me. I'm specifically playing on the ARMG maps with the lowest difficulty possible on casual setting (no rush discount, normal difficulty, medium monsters etc.). Even then, the AI will always beat me. Currently I'm playing on Haven and will go through every other faction because I want to learn everything about the game. Am I really that bad or I'm missing something from the game? Compared to H3 it's so easy to lose units and keep going strong.
What I'm looking for is anything that gives a great in depth strategy guide similar to the one in H3. Or videos like TheKnownWorld which helped me a LOT play H3 better. I just want to have fun not being destroyed by cheating AI

This is a minor question, but something I was never able to figure out:
In the end of level stats, what does "in sight" mean? Like "Resources gathered - in sight" and "Resources gathered - total"?
I thought "in-sight" means the ones you collect with your hero (as opposed to the ones you get from mines automatically), but that doesn't seem so. At one map, my "in-sight" resources were 0 for all and 43 Gold (despite collecting lots of loose resources). Also, it wouldn't make sense for artifacts, where all would be collected "in-sight" by that definition.
