Hello everyone.
I have stupid question
Is there any way to continue Hotseat map in Lan multiplayer mode? May be change something in save files?

Hi!
I'm thinking about comming back to competetive gaming and I have question concerning Random Map Generator and templates build into it.
Templates have specific names and I wonder which symbol stands for what?
As I remember, from template name we can figure out how many zones is on the map, how many passages conecting them how many players and so on.
Can you please, help me in decoding it?

Did anyone find a way to work in TOTE editor on Windows 10 without issues such as constant crashes (like really frequent, including crashes while attempting to save the map) or blurry ground textures (loading the map twice - advice I saw on the internet - helped against blurry object textures, but not against blurry ground)?
Or am I the only one who experiences these problems?
I tried running the application as administrator and setting compatibility with WinXP SP2 and 3 and Win7, but all to no avail.
I also tried running the editor on XP virtual OS in VirtualBox but it gives me "failed to initialize directx" error although directx is installed.

Hi, recently made my first video. There is a final RMG fight in which only one unit remained at the end of the battle, which I have never seen (level 3 unit). Exceptionally for this and the advice of friends decided to mount it. I understand that on the content on the heroes I won’t earn anything on YouTube, but I would like that people who also love heroes, saw what I spent a week on) I don’t know where to place it, so I left it here

Guys, I've got a problem: in vanilla HoMM5 (TotE), the unit names are suddenly different: Inquisitor became Cleric, Priest > Battlepriest, etc. Stats also changed. Why is this? Also, wolf-yetis started to appear in the editor menu (not joking). Stats too, are insanely different.
Edit: Sorry for the 2 spammed posts (deleted by now), the site gave me some errors.

You have most likely played some some fan made map that made changes to your game. If you remove all your maps from the maps folder and also remove all your saves from the saves folder everything should be back to normal.

I don't recall having trouble with the saves but yeah, sounds like a modded map. Might even be my duel map since the names are familiar. At some point I was using basic priest as a second alternative upgrade that was the more combat-focused of the three.

Yeah, I did download your map. Anyway, I'll backup it somewhere then.
Charleroy Map Problem:
Text taken from maps4heores:
"Enemy assault on 1st day - Charleroy
How am I supposed to play the map if an enemy with legions of undead troops comes and takes my town on 1st day and then proceeds to attack my garrisons? The first enemy hero I finally managed to kill with the 3rd garrison, but the next two who took my town forever were at least just as strong. Now Laszlo has no town at all and just wanders away from the starting area with a puny 5 Angels and ~30 Priests army.

So basically, this is what happened to me when playing this map with 10 rating called Charleroy. Is this supposed to happen? And if yes, what do I have to do next?
Edit: Geez, this thread is bugged like crap.
Edit 2: Galaad, you made me look like I said the f-word instead (a top-tier curse word reserved for few things in my native language). In my language at least, the word you censored, the s-word, is synonymous with "crap". And it's not a strong curse, more like "bad" or something like that.

Hi, I have a question about Duel Preset
I am creating a hero for duel and I want him to use a Magic Scroll or Wand with a certain spell. But when I add scroll to him, slot for it remains empty. In the artifact properties I found, that it is allowed in duel. How make him see the scroll and put a certain spell in it, not random.
Also I have a question about the Book of Power. In description is said, that a hero may learn level 4 spells, if he has Magic Insight ability. But editor does not allow to learn those spells without required magic schools. If you add needed level 4 spells right in the hero's preset file, game won't see the hero, and editor just crashes when trying to load it. Meanwhile, basic Ebba knows the Divine Vengeance while having only basic Light Magic, Vittorio knows the Resurrection spell while having only Advanced Light Magic, and Orson have the Teleportation spell without Light Magic skill and Teleport Assault ability.

Those guys are scripted from the beginning to be like that, that's my guess. As for the other questions, I don't really have many ideas.
