Certainly it's not the random map I play, so it must be something else though I know little about it. Just too many mods to manage 
I remember this question was already mentioned and someone knows the answer.
It first approached on Master of Disguise, but I know that Hourglass includes modded monsters. I have no idea what does it do on another map though.

Well if you're trying to kill them, try the Blade of Slaughter ability (Pit Lord has it IIRC) or something. No amount of health can escape that.

Assuming you have tote go to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East\FanDocuments. There you will find the skillwheel, go to wizard section and press the central button. The requirements will be highlighted. In tote the skill requirements are not the same as hof which might explain why you had trouble with that.

Newbies can't make threads, because many of them only joined because they wanted to spam (these are known as spambots). To counteract this, every newb, must make at least 4 post before he/she can start a thread. Spambots usually don't make more than one post, and we added the margin of three additional post to ensure you're not a spambot.

Of course but it depends on the ability. Resurrect, assault and bash for instance are hp based, others like deadly strike are always 25%.
Atb value is the unit's place in the atb bar. At 1 it acts and is sent back to 0 to start filling up again.

HOMM5 newbie - map problems
Greetings all
I'm new to Heroes 5 and so is my brother, but we're having some problems. The problem is exactly the same for each of us but we're using different computers 600km apart. Could anybody help us?
We tried to play a game today across some XL maps we downloaded, and they appear in the list of maps when I try hotseat, but they do not appear in the list when we try to play through ubi.com. I made sure the games were compatible with our version (1.6 - no expansions). Why can we play on them through hotseat, but not ubi.com? Is there a way to make them work on ubi.com? My brother lives 600km north of me so a hot seat game would take a while
Help would be greatly appreciated. The selection of maps provided by ubisoft is so small...

i'm not sure but if you want to play a map made by others,make sure both you and your brother have the copy of that map in your computer..

It's in the music folder of the game's directory but it's in ogg format. You can convert to mp3 of course.

From Sfidanza's latest interview with Fabrice Cambounet.
Here's what I got from Ubisoft-fr.com's interview points most important to the general community of HC.com:
# What is your priority concerning Heroes V maintenance, and very concretely will there be other patches after the 1.6, 2.2 and 3.1 series? In other words, is the patch plan already fixed, or is there flexibility depending on the community reactions?
The current patch plan is not finished yet. In the now traditional Heroes 5 way, the initial planning has been considerably delayed (about three months). On the bright side, it also allows us to better include fan feedback, since the community rose some issues that we didn't plan to address at first. We still have a few patches to release before we reassess the situation.
# Over what time period can we expect Ubisoft to release new features or tools (maps, mods, tournament tools, ...)? More generally, how will you decide that official support can be ended on the H5 project?
This question is tightly linked to the previous one: the support plan for balance and debug is supposed to last beyond 2008 if necessary. The adding features part depends on the end of the patch plan.
# Can we expect improvements in the map editor accessibility and usability?
Sadly no. We have currently no plan to update the map editor. This might be reassessed at some time, but I didn't receive much feedback from the community on the topic at this time.
# The map editor is actually a complete development environment, with many features hidden in the public release. In the same way, not all script functions are listed in the documentation, especially combat functions. Is there a reason for this?
Most of the undocumented adventure functions are aliases of already documented functions. Combat functions are defined in scripts launched at the start of every fight.
# The script editor inside the map editor contains a "Check script" button, that actually does nothing. Mapmakers have to check their scripts themselves in game for even the smallest syntax mistakes. Do you plan to implement even a basic script debugger in the future?
No, we don't. As with usability improvements, this would be a too heavy workload for the project now.
This should prove interesting for anyone having questions concerning patching and map-editing tweaks.

I thank you your generosity to help, but as I have written :"...the game -which I do not have " I meant that I do not own any enbodiment of the game... So is there any legal webpage from where I can download?

ex:Resistance
(hero gains +2 defence permanently)
