for inferno I think that you should aim for the special (instant gating is really good). and since you even get flamming arrows why not go for warr machines to (triple flamming ballista). and for the last skill i choose defense cause I usually go for a might build for inferno. here I would use the heroes deleb or grok.
for dungeon i would pick sorcery and enlightment. and ofcourse destructive and dark. as a hero choise here. I usually go for sinitar.

I would generally pick the Destructive magic with Searing Fires and Mana Burst. The Ultimate is pretty good, but instant gating is only good for uncertain battles in attacking or defending. Its totally dependent on the size of your army and if its your focus. If you focus on improvement of high level creatures, Warlock's Luck and Swarming Gate, which opens up Arcane Brilliance and Distract. Just boost Hellfire beyond all reason. An overlooked strategy is to find the Ring of Sar-Issus and get Refined mana and totally imba your Pit Lords.
For dungeon, the Ultimate is fun to get to. It stems from great abilites. All three Masters of Destructive Magic, Erratic Mana, and Warlock's Luck makes the Warlock really strong and Versatile. If you wanna be Kamekaze, use the Fire Resistance from Master of Abjuration and send your Hydrae into the middle of the battlefield with teleport (preferably with Teleport Assault from Logistics) to destroy enemies, then cast Empowered Fireball to obliterate small stacks.

Could somebody explain to me how Red Dragon's incinerate works. The description left me clueless, and I have yet to see it work. Is it similar to Hell Stalion's flame aura or something?

also red dragon must be next to the enemy target to use that ability, but still i think that blackeis are stronger because of their complete magic immunity what only warlock can harm

Well, if the Red Dragons must be next to the stack, then my game's weird. I can use incinerate as long as the targets in movement range.

That's just waay too overpowered!
I mean, it's like you choose +50% extra damage AND no enemy retaliation for a damn immunity to magic?
Are you sure? No mods installed?

I know, I said you choose either +50% extra damage AND no enemy retaliation, or immunity to magic. And the former it's clearly better in my eyes
Sorry if I wasn't that clear.

Well I tested it in my game. Red dragons need to be next to target to use incinerate.
I prefer the black dragon.
You could take best of both worlds and use magic immunity on the red?
But neither dragon is very influential in a real combat for you as the warlock imo.
Which would you rather face as a neutral? Probably red.

Yes, because Blackies have an odd tendency to...not die. Early creeping depends on magic most the time.

I can't help you here (cause I don't use map editor) but the first one (master of initiative) is for the original heroes game. and the second one is for HoF and also ToE I think.

Do you guys play with one hero or more?I play only with one hero, but there are a few problems:
1.Too slow:It will probably take me weeks to explore 25% of the map and return to the town for reinforcements.
2.Not enough troops.I always win battles with casualties.
3.Low resources.I play only on easy, but it's not that easy. The resources are just not enough to get to the tier 7 dwelling.
And if I had to hire multiple heroes, something will still bug me:
1.Having to split troops.Neutrals's difficulty are usually moderate or challenging or higher,so I have to stick with one hero.
2.Slow leveling.Either one hero will be 15 level, while the other will be less than 5.Neutrals and treasure chests don't give enough experience,so leveling up from level 15 to higher would be impossible, because by that time the enemy with numerious troops will atttack my hero and my town.
So,any suggestions for improving creeping and keeping my town safe?

Okay, open the map editor, and find the Hero. Place him and on the left panel, the AdvMapHeroShared line has a "..." next to it. Click that, and you'll see window to the right. Somewhere down it there's a line that says "SpecializationNameFileHref". select the current special (Wanderer) and change it to Iron Maiden (Named Bombadier). Now, change the current "SpecializationDescFileHref" to Bombadier as well. The last thing is to change the specialization icon, named bombadier as well. After you've change all the files, save the map and play with the Iron Maiden specialty.
PS - Master of Initiative is the same way, and its available.
Allright Bone Master, here's a few tips -
1. Try to keep close to your town, because early game defeats are not uncommon.
2. Creeping with quick strong Level 4's isn't a bad idea.
3. Ditch the 500 experience chests for the 1000 gold. It'll help a lot more in theh long run.
4. Try not to split stacks of creatures, but give them different stacks of creatures. Like two necromancers, one has a bunch of skeletons, the other the ungodly amount of zombies at the town.
5. Upgrade the Village first, becuase extra gold is never a curse.
6. Stay away from shooters at first, and ignore the Threat Level gage.
7. Level 7 is not hard to achieve, just don't rush to it. Don't let a particular resource get below 5.
8. A good strategy is to choose a starting hero that can achieve Mentoring quickly. That'll solve the uneven level problem. Hire your specialty hero from the Tavern in-game after you've secured the area.
Hope these tips help.
