I'm going to give Dungeons a try. From the previews I have read you have an avatar for your dungeon keeper and you level up, gettting to chose how to develop him. It seems the focus is more on you as the dungeon keeper than on your monsters. Sort of an evil Theme Park to lure them in and then you reap their soul.

Psh.
Elodin knows that games are the realm of fantasy. He's not one of those "Dungeons and Dragons make you a satanist" people who never even tried to understand the medium. I think more people would be less afraid of things if they game more things a chance.
Anyway, that being said. I may not agree with everybody on this site about everything but I'd still happily call most of you friends

Yes, games are mere games though some of my Christian brothers would feak out about me playing such games. People are at different levels of spiritual maturity. I used to Dungeon Keeper and DK2 but I think my nephews wound permanently "borrowing" them.

GOG.com now has Dungeon Keepers 2 available for download for a little of nothing. From the comments on the download page some people have had trouble with it in Windows 7. But a quick google search has turned up solutions to running it under W7.

Solutions
The weekend will have to roll around again for me to get much play time with it but I've started the download. My original copy has long since gone missing.

I actually had an original copy of DK2. I loved it that much.
Then borrowed it to a mate who lost it.
Ah well.

DK2 campaigns just rock! The amazing hilarity of the cutscenes continues to haunt me to this day if you can put it that way

So far, so good. I've had a few crashes although not one in the last several maps. I'm probably half way through the campaign and having lots of fun. I've not bothered to make any changes listed in the "solutions" to get it to run good under windows 7 as some suggestions involve editing the registry which I am loath to do and the few crashes haven't irritated me enough to spur me to do it.
Too bad no "spiritual successor" to the DK series was made.
