Battle For Middle Earth was missing something. I mean creating trolls and that was cool, but when I was playing it I knew that there was potential for a good game, I mean I was looking for the fun, but it's hard to find 
And I'm crap at it also, which doesn't help.
Well it's 10000000x better than war of the ring anyway

Dark Colony was quite good, the artifacts were especially cheesy . I loved the one which created a blackhole  .
The bad thing was humans and grey were nearly mirror races...

I never could figure out how to use an artifact, but that was very long ago, when I was a little kid.
I might try it again soon, cos it will bring back memories
And yeah, the greys and the humans are sorta mirror races, but that doesn't matter.
Both are slightly different.

Can't wait for warcraftIV, but as I know Blizzard that will be somewhere in 2017.
Good news - The Asian Dynasties (second exp for AoEIII) is being released this fall.

I wonder about the silk road ability as opposed to building trade posts. Also they said that there will also be minor asian civs like the 16 tribes besides the three amerindian factions.

Well, let's see - AoE and AoM ROCK! Warcraft cool but only the strategic part, while hero development only maps like DotA  SUCK. Starcraft is cool and the new one (starcraft2) would seem to ROCK (it's stil not out though). I guess I wouldn't have voted at all but too late I realized this was a fooly rts poll so the lastpart of my message would have sounded like that: "...but I voted other because my love was, is amd always will be HoMM" but it won't sound like that as I finaly realized we are talking about rts's only. And so don't pay attention to the fact that i voted other and let it be as if i've voted both AoE+AoM and WC+SC. Btw my favorite WC race are the night elves because all of their buildings can moove and fight. My favorite SC race are thoose yellow guys (dunno names) as thoose robots look stupid and thoose slug-like monsters are too ugly. It's hard to say about AoM but about AoE2:The qonqurors I prefer to play bizantians in team with britonions and spanish(guess why).

i loved AoM it had a lot of information about mythology and got me really interested in it. all the icons that you could read i almost read on every unit (even the laser bear  ) loved the stories for its own sake. truly fun in how it recreates the stories
