New town: Harbor (by the Storm team)
"In the beginning of time, when fertile lands of Erathia were ruled by wizards, a young barbarian named Jarg united the scattered barbarian tribes and gathered a great horde. In order to break the shackles of slavery, Jarg led his army from one victory to another. The authority of the great Bracaduun Empire diminished. The new barbarian king swiftly gained power and the shadow of danger loomed over the kingdom of wizards. Jarg’s hordes pushed the wizards back to the ocean. The ancient scrolls say that there is a huge sunk island based at the bottom of the ocean..."
Thus begins the main campaign for the new town called Harbor. The authors of the project (the Storm team – Necronix, LOTR, Deo, Kondroman and Ganymed) claim that Harbor is not simply another faction – it is a new race with its history, tradition and culture which will take its rightful place in the world of fantasy. The developers notice that the water race is completely absent in Heroes, and Harbor will try to fill that niche.
The inhabitants of the this neutral water-based settlement are the Merfolk (Hydromancers?) and other sea creatures, such as the Kraken and the Crab.
Naturally, the troops of the water world are commanded by new might and magic heroes - Cadets (Seaguards?) and Witchers (Magicians, Exorcists?), who specialize in Water Magic, Navigation, Mysticism, Weakness, Offense, and the creatures. Harbor's five-level Mage Guild leans towards Water and Air Magic.
Judging by the screens and drawings, some pieces seem to be in the testing phase, although only concept art is available for the Grail (nice!) and artifacts.
According to the latest info, the modders are optimistic and plan to finish their work this year.
some units in combat
Finally, it would be great if Russian speakers from HC contacted the team and had some of my translations confirmed, or even got an interview about the patch.

hmm...something doesn't seem to be right...i don't think that it's an in-game screen shoot...i mean...there are 7 slots (for Goblins and Wold Raiders), another one for Commander...another slot for Henchmen...but the 10th? :/ (just a thought anyway....it's cool if it's really an in-game screen shoot)

Where did you guys hear the music?
The project rocks, it's good that they actually did something before posting the idea so it actually has a chance to get finished... The picture technically can be photoshopped (take a screenshot; take a 6-angled piece of ground which is not highlighted; stick it across a highlighted one to seem like there's a creature there; add the creature and the number box over that and voila...) But perhaps they didn't do that. The project looks way too serious for photoshop tricks

Ah, here they are...
Well they're great, I must say; I especially like the jazzy beginning of the ver. 2...
Just one question, why is on some places on the site written Haven and on some Harbour? Was it supposed to be called Haven in the beginning and then they decided it would cause too much confusion (heroes IV and V havens taken into account), so they changed it into Harbour?
EDIT:
I just saw this:
Quote: the Crab
ROTFLMAO
The Crab... with a capital C, and the "the" prefix...
It's a bird! It's a plane! No! It's the Crab!
"new units such as the Kraken and the Crab"... Damn it I got one of those laughing attacks...

Assuming they're referring to Tarnum's ancestor from Heroes Chronicles: Warlords of the Wasteland, it should be noted that the Barbarian's name was Jarg, not Zharg. And there was no fertile ground in Erathia, because Erathia hadn't been established yet - the Empire of Bracaduun ruled over most of western and southwestern Antagarich.

Thanks for the input. It's probably my translation, not their mistake.
By the way... While Ubisoft and Nival decided to create a completely new world and scrap the entire Might and Magic history, it's nice to see that modders are doing their best to stay true to the source.
It would be fun if all the new towns were all pieces of one great puzzle... That way, the last patch would fulfill the prophecy at the WoG homepage:Quote: Do you remember those Armageddon and Icy swords? Do you believe that two pieces of iron could demolish all around, even if they are pieces of Magic iron!? Could this be the real reason for the cataclysm in Erathia?
Definitely NOT! It is I who will tell you the real story of all that happened to you and this beautiful land.
And the truth is far from being so simple.
Heed my words and get ready for the real battle.

I imagine it will be replacing Stronghold/Fortress, if it does replace anything. Also the information regarding where to download it... I think it would be safe to assume that they have not finished yet. Would you like to have a boat with %70 of the content missing?
Lol j/k.
But just hold on, it's not ready yet.

The town is pretty similar to the Regnan town the Two Islands team and I are creating. Our town, however, is more concerned with pirates and sea monsters than aquatic marine life. Still, the Harbour looks like a great faction! I hope the Regnan and Vori factions we're making can match up to it.
