Well, that isn't there for storyline purposes, it's just to help you win the map. Armageddon's Blade isn't actually an ancient weapon at all, in fact it hasn't even been created at the start of Heroes III. Here's some proof, from the Armageddon's Blade campaign:
Quote: As you approach the hut, you hear some odd whistling emanating from within. The song is a sad, angry tune, filled with a sense of bitterness and angst. Finding the tune strangely intriguing, you go up to the door and kick it open. Sitting calmly in a rocking chair is an old man with a long white beard smoking a pipe. His eyes stare out into oblivion, unblinking. Clearing your throat, you get his attention, somewhat.
"Yeah? What do you want?" the old man asks most irritatedly. "Speak quickly, I'm a busy man."
"I have come a long way old man. I hear you are the one called Khazandar, the Grand Forgesmith, and you are he who can harness Armageddon. I've brought the legendary artifacts needed for the ritual. All I need now is for you to make me Armageddon's Blade."
The old man looks at you, contemplates his words carefully, and puffs on his pipe. "So, you have finally come to ask me to build my last great piece. Yes, I'm Khazandar and yes, I'll make your Blade. A few conditions though. First, I want to be spared your Armageddon. Second, I want to be paid. . .well paid. I figure 30,000 pieces of Gold ought to do it. Once I get that, you may take the artifacts to my apprentice and I shall build your sword."
Actually, that doesn't prove that Armageddon's Blade didn't exist yet. It may just have been split into several artifacts and needs a great forger to remake it.

That's exactly what it proves. Heroes Chronicles: The Sword of Frost explains that the Blade cannot be destroyed, harmed or otherwise split apart without the use of the Sword of Frost. And we already know that bringing the swords together causes the world to explode. Note also that nobody is using words such as "remake" or "rebuild" in the quote.

The omission of the words "remake" or "rebuild" doesn't mean it hasn't been done so, but the information you just said of Heroes Chronicles plus what you had posted before indeed confirms that the Armageddon's Blade is recent.

No, but it doesn't mean that it ever has been created either. Indeed it implies the very opposite.

I thought we already went over this... Where in the game's storyline is Armageddon's Blade mentioned? Does Tarnum acknowledge it at all?
No.
Vorr also had Armageddon's Blade in Heroes Chronicles: The Fiery Moon... as a gameplay element to make him harder to defeat. You can't consider an artifact canonical if it isn't even mentioned in the game's storyline.
Plus we've established that the Blade didn't exist at all before the Demon Wars, so including it in your campaign simply does not make any sense. I assure you I can be trusted on this, if nothing else.
Good luck with the rest of the project anyway.
