In my opinion, if you are going to finish the map as fast as possible, there is no point to defeat pink that soon, just as that chinese player from the save file (maybe he didn't capture these towns even after getting town portal). Most of the fights can be won without full 7 slot army, just titans, something fast and magic, so you won't really need fortress dwellings.

I dont want to play for a record just play a little better than my first run and under WoG for having the movement display option and the dwelling info. But I just come to visit the wizards and noticed a mysterious AI behaviour. The main AI hero just stands in windmill and does nothing for ages (already 15 days at least). Normally I open gate before but I decided to go for library and give him more time to move as usual. No way, he just stays there and no way I can pass without pathfinding and play cat and mouse with him. If I play the same saves with H3 complete, suddenly everyone comes to live . They start doing their things. So I guess that's a problem I don't want to find a solution just by waiting reinforcments as in previous run.

What you say can be true in many fights but only once you have the resurrection spell. You need also expert berserk (armaggedon's blade version). I can beat the main AI hero in siege with berserk simple (his archmagis), must destroy first catapult with chain lighting, then ammocart and the berserked magis kill all his troops even titans, while I berserk he resurrects titans and soon he will run out of shots. But I lose almost all my army , no resurrection and not many spell points even if I had. If I have to wait a month to continue, I can as wall continue the previous run .

It will be my last save with these WoG options as something is weird. Maybe because I unchecked everything, there are no special months anymore either.

To play SOD with minimal WoG you must remove DATA/s folder or rename. Then add your custom scripts. All other scripts will be disabled.

Yes, I tried that but I didn't see the movement bar info, so did something wrong certainly. Put the script from TDS in event day 600, and didn't wogify map. When I saw that the script already is in 3.58f, I tried to wogify the map but everything else is disabled. Maybe that's the problem. Anyway, I'm done with this try . Once I see a bug I expect another one later so no point to continue from here. I'm uploading a pack of all my saves until there if that interests somenone. Will put the link later, edit the post. Maybe the AI freezes for more than 15 days, I didn't check all saves.

yes, because the movement script it is based in DATA/s, it asks for ert files. I will make one custom for you (+ all general options which do not touch SOD) which will not ask for general scripts. When I get back from work.

Ah ok I get it now . Thanks! I'll continue Way Home in the meantime. Maybe the same problem will arise there but it seems the AI is more scipted there and doesn't have much freedom anyway.

I forgot to mention that another reason why I like to play SoD maps under WoG interface is the possibility to check status and lenght of spells on ennemy troops. No need to memorize how much turns the blind will still last. Well, there is always the problem when too many spells affect the creature we can only see 3 of them but still good improvement.

How can the Italians (Rampart) be defeated? My army gets easily crushed. Any foolproof tactics against 800 goldies 5k elves 3k silver pegasi and friends...?

Check this big tutorial to chinese map, there is plenty of tactics against AI. Defending in town should be a first step to victory. This guy wasn't immune to blind so it is about surviving several turns. It is also handy to make goldies attack their own units with dragon breathe.

Phew, dead I only lost 80 brown behemoths cause of spell point exhaustion. That berserk poison thing is damn unrealible! I'd post a pic but this keeps asking for links so I won't.
I think I had less army: only 210 Titans and 2,4k elves, but almost 800 CH and 2k gorgons and the enemy had slightly more than against you. I managed to berserk BDs twice and lucky striked silver pegasi to smithereens. During previous tries the following had happened:
enemy had 1 blinded and 4 under berserk -> cure
war uncorns or dendroids dead (or dying) -> sacrifice pegasi/BDs
enemy has blinded troops and I have used clone -> ARMAGEDDON!
What I did, I saved roids and unicorns for last and never used clone or immobilized 5 stacks at a time = victory!
A question though: How do I get those portraits? My Trueno is Dessa, Necrobeast is Vokial etc.

I restarted playing this map recently.
I think I've done good so far,judging on what some other people wrote here.My last save is made on 227 boarding the boat after eliminating fortress and just having killed Neela (Das Bier)
My army now is about 700 elves&25 upgraded hydras.I also have 50 t birds&60 ogre magis plus a few dragon flies and 2 enchanters.
The way I played it is to go and free El Tonto (2nd hero), gave him the birds&ogres and sent him for re-enforcements( some elves come on 232 i think).With my main I went to the Wiverns for the Ocean Necklace and then dismounted into tower terrain.
So I've taken the 1st Tower with minimal losses but then i get killed hopelessly by a guy called  Herr K.S. who has 120 titans/450 nagas/750 archmagi/900 or so master genies and over 1k golems&gargoyles.
I tried with 700 GE/25 Chaos Hydras plus 1  master genie, 3 dragon flies and 2 enchanters which is more or less all the army I have.Can't kill him.
Tried getting re-inforcements before attacking and tried with 900 GE and 100 hydras...still impossible for me.Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?Maybe I shoud try and recruit Moos instead of Hydras to try and get rid of the titans?
Without reinforcements I'm fighting this fight 247 and if i wait for re-inforcements I fight it around 326, doesn't make much difference as i get raped anyways.Anyone can spot something I'm doing wrong maybe?

Try to get the Tower town to the very north first, before you meet him, because you learn resurrection there. You can hide in a sanctuary on your way to that town....

Blind / hypnotize Archdevils....use forcefield to protect your shooters.

Do NOT take anything else but a big stack of shooters and some fast fodder (rust dragon... so you are able to start casting in first round) with you.

Btw, hypnotize is the only mind spell working on effrets too. In your save you have unnecessary troops, remove hydras and bring more shooters, place behind force field. Gorgons ok, they will kill devils.

I would not play USB on WoG, because there are settings about speed which could make the map un-winnable if you choose wrong. And the conflux commandor ability (remove 30% of troops) will give you nightmare.

I still can't get the point that why shooter is important for this map? Thanks to the force shield idea I passed the Ugly Ratface(by Hydras without any lost).
Please point out what's wrong in my case.

I believe he wanted to hide some event giving those and only accessible by fly/DD, then forgot. At my knowledge no one found them.

How am I supposed to beat tan player's main army? He has 104 Titans, 878 Iron Golems, 657 Arch Magi, 291 Naga Queens, 7 Wood Elves, 1195 Obsidian Gargoyles, and 475 Master Genies.
My own army consists of 681 Grand Elves, 50 cyclops, 41 Thunderbirds, 1 Enchanter, 3 Master Genies, 4 Arch Magi.
The tan hero has the Cape of Velocity (and the Endless Sack of Gold, obviously). I have grabbed all his towns and can therefore force him to attack me in one of them. But I get utterly destroyed in a matter of 1-3 rounds.
It's month 2, week 3, day 5.
