AOH and HC - report persisting bugs and errors
This is the official thread for reporting persisting bugs and errors on Age of Heroes (AOH) and Heroes Community (HC).
Read these important guidelines first:
What to report:
- Spelling mistakes and incorrect information found on AOH.
- Persisting bugs encountered on AOH and HC.
- This thread is not for feature suggestions or requests.
Definition of a persisting bug:
- Bug is when something does not work the way it is supposed to.
- Persisting means it is not a random error, but occurs all the time.
Checklist for bug report:
- If it is a connection error, it still occurs 12 hours after the initial occurrence.
- The bug can be easily reproduced, and report outlines the steps of how to reproduce it to get the error.
Checklist for incorrect information / spelling report:
- Include URL of the page that contains the error.
- Include the original text and the corrected text, highlighting the changes and what needs to be changed in bold.
- For corrections to Heroes 5 section of AOH, use the AOH H5 corrections thread
Current known issues:
* Page counts for individual forums incorrect on HC index page.
Resolved issues:
* HC Messenger glitches in FireFox browser
* Pagetop menu not working on H1-H4 sections of AOH in IE7.
* Passwords limited to 8 characters instead of 14.
* Making images into links using BB Code not working.
* Posts page of HC member profile lists some forum names incorrectly.
* Multi-post restrictions still apply after deleting last post.
* Password box limited to 13 characters on new post/poll/reply forms.
* Entries in the news ticker on AOH and HC sliding lower and lower.

Error report needing verification:

Suggested corrections:
Level 5 comes at 4600 exp
Level 6 at 6200
Level 7 at 8000
Level 8 at 10 000
Level 9 at 12 200
Could someone verify the exp required for 15 levels and the continuing formula in the game?

These are the H5 levels thresholds. Maybe it was the same in H3. Maybe the person suggesting the change was mistaken.

In H5 duel hero list ihora has 9 luck & morale  razzak has both of 5 but It is also weird

There are some errors on the first page, the Heroes 1 Info page.
Artifacts is spelt wrong, on both 1st and 2nd paragraph, 2nd last sentences, and somewhere in there, I think the 5th paragraph, defense is spelt incorrectly.

There are a lot of spelling mistakes on AoH on the HoMM 1-3 sections. I'd be willing to type them all down here, but I think the people on there have better things to do, with the H5 expansion coming up.
Anyway, another HC error:
When trying to reply to an old thread, the bar at the top changes to an older version of itself. Most importantly: the game advertising banner disappears.

Sometimes I get phantom pages like this:

when there are only 35 pages in the thread.
Also the 'time for big boom' button in hc messenger doesn't work in Firefox but does work in Internet Explorer.

There is a strange error in the last 10 replies (at the bottom right on the main page). When a thread has only one post in the next page, the page index is not updated. But if there are two, then it is.
Example:
Thread A has 21 posts, it would show up with no page index (meaning only one page). If it gets another post (total 22), the page index will be displayed correctly (a 2)
Thread B has 61 posts, it would show up with only three pages. But if it has 62 posts, it shows with four pages, correctly.

Looks like it doesn't happen just to my PC. Hope Val fixes it soon 
and you don't have to search for IP, just delete the cookies next time

No Ashie, it doesn't work, the only thing that CAN work is typing the master-password Val sends you, the one that is supposed to be your normal pass, but obviously isn't. Cause who would set a HFLDKJGA)ASF}fsFG.) password anyway..

it doesn't fix the bug, it just enables you to enter the site without seeing "password incorrect". You stll won't log on but at least you'll be able to read.

Bug: Link to MSN account in user's profile begins with "http://heroescommunity.com".
IMO it should be only acc name without any links anyway.
