I had in mind that it could have higher contrast and brightness. Tested it whit ArcDevil:

Yeah that's my version of it. The ugly twin brother is the original Archy of course. Hey no promises but i could recolor those creature frames. Haven't played whit .Def files in ages and i don't feel like searching them from the game right now.

Well there is not much to it really. The important thing is to increase the Contrast around 30% i used 32. I have brightness switch on this same adjustment i used +15 but you can find good range between 0-20.
If you don't like to recolor some part just select it and invert select to recolor other parts of the picture (I think i used that on the Scythe but it's not that important, maybe)

He is too easy to make , all u need
1st: Choose the Edit - Mode - RGB Color.
2nd: Image - Adjustments - Curves with RBG channel ( Input 155 , Output 90 and Input 75 , Output 40 )

Master: Lightness -50
Red: Saturation +100, Lightness -30
(recoloured Archdevil, not Antichrist!)
