Now that Luck goes over 5, you can collect modifiers to reach great resistance.

As it's been already mentioned, luck on barb means magic proof, not resistance. That changes a lot imo making it not so potent.

So it's confirmed that Luck beyond 5 affects skills like Luck of the Barbarian and Retribution?

If it aint Resistance but magic proof . Then what does it do? take 5% dmg of magic attacks?

Example: Magic-proof 75% - Attacking spells inflict 75% less damage to this creature.

While we are at this builds, i keep wondering does excruciating strike stack with powerful blow at all. Since even without excruciating strike perk, pulling out double damaging powerful blow says "excruciating strike" in attack description. If they don't stack, excruciating strike can be quite obsolete. Any way to see(check) this without in-game testing with "law of big numbers" as a guide?
If it really does two separate rolls for double damage, it should be 0.3+(0.7*0.4)=58% chance for double damage. I don't seem to get it that often, seems more like 40% again to me, which is why I make this question...
Another Kragh-related question would be with possible conflict with swift mind perk. Does his first strike attack work without taking care of random roll of the starting initiative, or does it simply give 1.0 initiative to start with( in that case swift mind perk would be useless).
Hoping someone here knows the answers for these 2 question as they can clearly change my perk-picking a bit.

From my experience, the swift mind ability does not work with Kragh and is useless. Still, logistics is a nice skill for him.

It's for Haunted Mines mainly. And Empathy combined with Conjure Phoenix and (with luck) Minotaurs can haste your hero a little

Hmm I guess but for me passing up Dark for leadership is too hard a pill to swallow!
The hordes of ghosts are neat though with haunted mines!

It's also defence oriented because i need minotaurs, their bravery mainly for empathy, so they at the defence stance most of the time.

Then why it is still there after all the changes, addons and patches
Maybe because it is not that wrong

Where do you hope to pick up Minotaurs, anyway?
Wouldn't herald of death turn any neutrals you got from diplomacy into undead?

TOUCHÉ
Empathy is really, REALLY useless for Necro. I don't understand why you didn't take Sorcery.. Erratic Mana/Counterspell are loads better than Empathy.
Defence is a good skill, but there are better imo.
