So I watched the watchmen, thumbs up from me  For a movie adaptation it was pretty good and while it could have been better I found it pretty elegant. Trying to fit 12 issues in three hours is an impossible task so inevitably some of the character depth is lost and the action is sped up, sometimes the transition was not as smooth but overall decent. Hollis' death was cut, Manhattan's Mars time lacked the simultaneous time perspective, Veidt's plan was a bit altered and simplified, Rorschach's prison sessions were lacking, some fight scenes were added, the pirate comic was cut - actually I don't even care about the latter  But while it fails to captivate the comic's depth that doesn't prevent you from enjoying the film. Dialogues are mostly the same which is a plus and Rorschach is still awesome so I'm satisfied  Finally it had impressive visuals.

At least the "Watchmen" book sales soared before the premiere.

The ones that read the comic and still liked it must band together  I'm not much for nitpicking plus it's all about expectations, I try to avoid building them up and risk being disappointed. Lotr was the last time I went to see a movie hoping it will match my book expectations.

What I don't understand is why Dr. Manhatten wore a thong while fighting the Vietcong yet walks around dangling in the US. Wouldn't it make more sense to expose yourself to the enemy rather than the good guys? Getting destroyed is bad enough but think what an effect on morale it would have had if Dr. Manhatten would have just strolled around killing everyone while naked?

I went to university today and not surprisingly the professor was nowhere in sight so I decided to check my exam results something I had neglected for some time. In a healthy dose of Lady Luck's irony I passed the only subject I had not studied at all and failed the others. How is that even possible? Maybe the higher powers are trying to tell me something?  Granted that they were quite hard as I saved the most hated ones for last but I'm a bit stumped.
The way back was hellish with the bus being as crowded as possible, hot and uncomfortable. The doors could barely close each time and there was not enough room for one more person. Without the others going insane or fainting that is.
But all those melt away after chasing around a mischievous spring-excited cat Just the thing I needed, she is a blessing in the house.
How are you guys?

I can't get myself together after the time switch
Went to my cousins to check out what's up, then got yelled at for not remembering about one little favor I promised to do on Saturday 10am. I'm the bad guy now, doesn't matter that for the past month I've been going there every week installing stuff like Open Office, cuz they apparently don't know how to do it. I'm not showing my ugly face there now, lol.
The weather is getting hot and I hate it
