I've listened to almost every song people have posted. Some were not my taste, but everyone has their own taste in music. I've also heard a lot of music I've never heard before and really liked it.
Come on, what's your favorite?

I have hundreds of favorites, so just picking ten is difficult. In no particular order:
1) Out of Control (State of Emotion)- Kenna
2) Map of your Head - Muse
3) Spitting Venom - Modest Mouse
4) Interstate Love Song - Stone Temple Pilots
5) Evil - Interpol
6) Somewhere - The Subways
7) Tit for Tat - World Leader Pretends
8) Start Again - The Burnside Project
9) Can't Stop (22nd Century Lifestyle)- pre)Thing
10) Sideways - Citizen Cope
Awhile back on the Round Table, I think it was Ceres who asked me what some of my favorite songs were. I think I ended up listing 50 or 60 songs. It is difficult to limit it just to ten.

Great thread..
I have too many songs really and they normally go in and out in a matter of weeks/months..
But heres my top ten twelve atm.(just one song from each band otherwise it would be a pretty boring list )
-Show Me How To Live - Audioslave
Best Audioslave song and awesome video, (tribute to Vanish Point). This is how a rock song should sound. Get pumped.
In the aching night under satellites,
I was not recieved
Built with stolen parts,
A telephone in my heart
-Banquet - Bloc Party
A great modern indie rock band with the cruisy vocals of Banquet.
A heart of stone, a smoking gun, I can give you life, I can take it away
No, no, no, She Don't Think Straight!
-Someday - The Strokes
How can you not love this song, the best of The Strokes. I find it a very ironic love song.
Alone we stand, together we fall apart...
Darling your heads not right
-Perhaps Vampires Is A Bit Strong But... - The Arctic Monkeys
Best of the Arctic Monkeys, modern rock song that does what the Arctic Monkeys do best; tell it like it is. Thinkin bout things but not actually doing the things
Couldn't find a non-live video though.
I'm not like you and I don't want your advice
Or your praise or to move in the ways you do
And I never will...
Cause ALL YOU PEOPLE ARE VAMPIRES
And all your stories are stale
And though you pretend to stand by us
I know you're certain we'll fail...
-Supersonic - Oasis
Classic rock song from Oasis. . Haunting lyrics and guitar, can't escape it. Not many bands can claim to be the best rock band ever- and even fewer get away with it
You make me laugh
Give me your autograph
Can I ride with you in your B.M.W ?
You can sail with me in my yellow submarine
-Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine - The Killers
Hard to choose a favorite from the Killers... Pretty bad video from this one as well. lol
There aint no motive for this crime...
Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine
-Purple Stain - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Even harder to choose the best Chili Peppers song, but Purple Stain is such a kickass song from Californication, had to choose it. Can't beat Chili Funk
KNOCK on wood we all stay GOOD
cause we all live in HOLLYWOOD
With DRACULA and DARLA HOOD
Unspoken words were UNDERSTOOD
Way out there cause I don't care cause this is what i WANNA WEAR
Knock on wood we all stay good cause we all live in hollywood...
-Black History Month - Death From Above 1979 (Alan Braxe and Fred Falke Remix)
Don't be put off by the title, while this song is kinda weird I love it for some reason it's stayed with me for quite a while now. There's a bunch of remixes of it and while the original is good, I think this one is the best.
Can you remember a time when this city was..
A great place for architects and dilletantes?
-Hysteria - Muse
Best Muse song and video. The clash of metal guitar with the magic vocals of Matt Bellamy- the next Hendrix?
I'm not breaking down...
I'm breaking out...
-Ice Cream - Muscles
Weird Video, I couldn't find a better one. But awesome song.
I don't want no other, I just wanna dance with my shirt off
-Tear You Apart - She Wants Revenge
The song and band name hints at kind of death metal or emo or something but this (albeit kinda dark) song by Indie/Alternative band She Wants Revenge is far from it. It's addictive.
(Film clip directed by Joaquin Phoenix btw... and She Wants Revenge did a song with Timbaland you may have heard.)
If you like The Killers, Interpol or Bauhaus, you will like this band.
Got a big plan this minds set maybe it's right at the right place and right time maybe tonight
-A Rush of Blood to the Head - Coldplay
A very underrated Coldplay song with haunting lyrics.
I said I'm gonna buy this place and burn it down
I'm gonna put it six feet underground...
I said I'm gonna buy a gun and start a war
If you can tell me something worth fighting for...
Also would include The Grand Apartment by Louis XIV but can't find any decent stream or video anywhere...

Oh boy, this is a difficult topic Don't think I have a select top so-many list, but I do have a group of favourits off the top of my head.
The Connels - 74 75
Gotta love the classics.
Jermaine Stewart - We dont have to take our clothes off
Ditto! Feel-good song.
Goo Goo Dolls - What a Scene
Hard to discribe... Nothing too special about it, other than that it is plain awesome.
Powerman 5000 - Free
Not the most favourit, but it's great if you're looking for an adrenaline rush.
Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall
Another classic.
Haddaway - What is Love
Gotta love this one...
Culture Beat - Mr Vain
Eurodance!
Smile DK - Butterfly
This one is weird... In the trend of Aqua and Toy Box. But I like it (I also like Aqua and Toy Box XD)
Vaya Con Dios - Whats a woman
Don't really know what this kind of music is, I think Jazz, but it's very soothing and good.
REM - Imitation of Life
Feel-good song.
Bon Jovi - You Give Love a Bad Name
Great classic, love the whole culture and style!
ANYTHING from Enya / Clannad / Moya Brennan
ANYTHING from Rammstein
Probably my greatest contrast in my likes, these two xD And both are probably my favourit bands.
I like feel-happy music and atmosphere music So I tend to lean towards EuroDance, Game / Anime soundtracks (Jazz Jackrabbit had some of the best), and some Rock / Industrial / Heavy Metal can be good as long as it features a good melody, which Rammstein always does. Classics always sound good as well Lordi does too.
But usually I steer away from melody-lacking (rap / RnB / Death Metal) or adrenaline-boosting (punkrock) or exaggeratedly-mood-influencing (emorock) music

Damn right.
-Supersonic - Oasis
Classic rock song from Oasis. . Haunting lyrics and guitar, can't escape it. Not many bands can claim to be the best rock band ever- and even fewer get away with it
Lucky for us some do.
-Purple Stain - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Agreed.

Thanks for this dude. I haven't heard them before.
Off to record store!
Have you ever listened to Hanoi Rocks? If not check them out.
Hanoi Rocks - A Day Late, A Dollar Short
Hanoi Rocks - People Like Me
A bit older but true rock.

Well put. Somehow it sounds very much the same I like except there isn't any 90s pop just the dance side. You wouldn't happen to be a 90s kid would you? Ah yes you are!
Jazz had some truly incredible music so does CnC.
Classics simply rule.
I haven't listened to Smile.dk or Aqua for ages! Eurodance forever!
