I'll try to post songs that are less common, I think this is a good thread for ppl to expand their music base
A few more that missed the cut last time:
I Against I - Massive Attack
An unlikely mix of modern electronic and hip hop to form "trip hop" that somehow works; and is almost relaxing. Worth a listen.
Featuring Mos Def.
Only one of us can ride forever,
So you and I cant ride together,
Can't live or cant die together,
All we can do is collide together
God Killed The Queen - Louis XIV
The song The Grand Apartment would have easily been in my top ten but I couldn't find the video. There is the real video for this on youtube but I might get in trouble for posting it Oh, and all their songs are about sex...
Anyway, awesome song.
God took style money
(I think I'm seeing double)
He never made a dime on me
(I think I'm seeing double!)
Shoot The Runner - Kasabian
Another English Rock band (I'm going through a phase maybe ) with a new sound. Neat video too.
Shoot the runner, shoot shoot the runner
I'm a king and she's my queen..
Short Circuit - Daft Punk
An underrated song by one of the best modern tech bands out there.
Number 1 - Custom Kings
First thing: I don't get the video either lol. But it's a good cruisy song. Little known band I think... beach music.
Look at me when I talk to you son
That's rule number one
And rule number two
Is do what I tell you to do when I tell you to do it
She Moves In Her Own Way - The Kooks
Another English band? Damn. Anyway neat feelgood song
It's not about your make-up
Or how you try to shape up
To these tiresome paper dreams
Paper dreams honey
Doesnt Remind Me - Audioslave
Listening to this song I just have to post it:
Everyone claims that Rage Against The Machine is better than Audioslave. Now don't get me wrong I'm a RATM fan, but listening to the solo in this song I just refuse to believe it. Yes, Audioslave ges two songs!
Amazing song and video.
I like throwing my voice and breaking guitars
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
I like playing in the sand what's mine is ours
If it doesn't remind me of anything....

I wonder if this qualifies as a less known song?
Kim Wilde - Cambodia
About Vietnam.
Daft punk has many underrated songs I think...
Daft Punk - Make Love is an insanely soothing and loungy song. Something you can easily dream away at.

Not sure if this one's been shown here yet, but it's definately a song that everyone should love
Men at Work - Land down under I'd dare label it as one of the best songs ever.

American Idol normally just gives me fuel to make fun of others, and at other times I shake my head when the talented ones are booted off because americans clearly have no taste in music. So when I heard about the overseas version of this show, I kind of laughed.
And then I met Kurt Nilsen
In my humble opinion he has arguably the greatest voice I've ever heard. The first time I heard him I thought the 2nd coming of Bono. But his voice possesses more resonance, more versatility than that of the great Bono.
I'm stunned that he was given a chance. And it is no wonder he blew Kelly Clarkson out of the water in World Idol. Thank you Norway, for sharing your gift with the rest of us mere mortals.

he's pretty "note-on". I didn't realize just how much Bono annoyed me until I heard Nilson sing U2's "beautiful day".
