Are there any mods that eliminate that starting screen animation?
I'm sick of my main menu causing me pain and lag.

NVM i found i need winzip and the userMODS folder is quite versatile

You just pick one flyby, menu, static(just one of them) and unpack them in UserMOD's folder.

So I just started to use the map editor and create my first map (The Unicorn Empire), but the editor sucks!
Its nowhere near the H3 one which was so easy and good.

How do you even select objects and delete them? And why cant you see all objects? I cant find where the Sylvan trees are located for example.

Sylanna's Ancients that are the trees that gives 1 level up.(All-Terrain objects)
Or you are asking for BigTrees in Grass objects.
About you click and on object and then if you don't to use it anymore press Esc one time.

Why not?

Open a GameMechanics Heroes file and check if PatternAttack tag exists.

It's called the "Infernal Machine" and is a specialty.  You can apply it to any hero using the Editor (or, of course, .xdb edits).

thanks again but my game still is too slow to play
my comp won't be upgraded until christmas and i suppose i'll play wog until then

Yeah it is only two months to Christmas so you will play HOMMV back again in no time.

Mhh. so, I think it's better to forget GameMechanics folder as a potentiel modding for heroes.

For heroes, it isn't the head folder

Now, refer you directly in MapObjects folder:

Exemple:

/MapObjects/Academy/Havez.(AdvMapHeroShared).xdb

inside we can read this tag:

another file:

/MapObjects/Stronghold/Gottai.xdb

Perhaps CombatVisual isn't the link to his patternattack, so this is another tag in file.
