Not sure about that William. This seems to be a topic in general refering to computer games and their existance, not a specific game at all.

I also play older games, and agree with those of you who think oldies are better.
For instance take a look at world cyber games' arsenal:
-Half-life Counter Strike 1.6 -> about 7 years old (and there's source)
-Starcraft ->a game from '98-99
-Warcraft 3 Frozen throne -> came out in 2003
-Age of empires and CnC3 are the new wave
-Then the rest (fifa, need for speed) changes from year to year.
Personally I dislike 75% of the newer games (because of the aforementioned 100% graphics 0% real content issue). I found only the new Tomb Raider games (legend, anniversary) enjoyable along with Homm 5 of course. Also I find nfs 2 se (10 year old game ) quite entertaining, and I think the best nfs around was underground 1.

I didnt honestly know where to put it, And when that happens it goes to this forum. But i dont honestly care where its put.
Quote: It's unfair to people that don't have good internet connections... I think they SHOULD add an offline mode into every game.
They could, But it would feel empty and alone, Not to mention it would bite up a ton of your hard drive, WOW has zones that take longer to complete then some games.
About the whole emphasis on graphics over gameplay, Well to be truthful ive heard of good games and of bad games, but ive heard of nostalgia too But seriously, not all games are bad today, And a lot of games that have bad graphics get that extra credibility for gameplay "Because noone would be stupid enough to make the game crappy in graphics AND gameplay surely!!!" and vica versa, Games with good graphics get degraded on that point simply because of the graphics.
Nontheless, graphics improving is good only so that people can hit the graphics barrier, When they do they have a gameplay barrier, when they hit that they have the interactive barrier (how much the world interacts to your actions etc) then they have a host of other barriers , The only one which doesnt have one is size, Which is infinite.

Well I still play DOS games, because I think at the time of their creation, the developers didn't care too much about the graphics so much, but about the actual gameplay.
If any of you who have played Crusader: No Remorse or Crusader: No Regret, you will see that it is very fun to play.
But the graphics in that game are incredible, especially for a DOs game.
@ Angelito.....But Isn't OSM NOT for games? There are many topics in Other Games which refer to games in general but not to any specific game.
