Modding the Unmoddable

Well, my point about being history referred to the post of "Unreal Engine not being suitable to create a turn-based strategy", since that's exactly what Heroes 7 did : P

But as the post also noted, Unreal Engine is highly moddable, and since all of the things on the mod are just an "overlay" to the engine, mostly everything should be changable.

The only negative point is that Unreal Engine 3 (the used one) is not Open Source as Unreal Engine 4... if it was, the world would be ours - whether Enroth, Axeoth or Ashan (but nobody would want that world  : P).
But as compared to the moddability of earlier games (including Heroes 3 and 5, the more moddable ones up to now), on the long run it should be both easier and less buggy (if people or ubilimbic fix the editor).

As computers increase performance, too, it should become accessible to lower-end gamers as well (unless some dreaded compatibility issues appear).
