Monitor is a real, quite large, but slow lizard... it's inhabitat is in a boggy region .. especially in tropical zones like Thailand  (the place where i came from) ... although it has no aggressive nature. it can BITE you if you make it angry or fall into a pit full of a spawn of this kind!!!

Isn't the proper term 'demoniac'? And isn't it a MIGHT hero? But you can do whatever you like, I have a feeling it will still be good

1. Demonologist = A person who study "Demonology (Demonic science)" and masters it .... anyone from any race, be it Demons, Human, Elf (and it's dark cousins!), Dwarf, Gnomes, Orcs, etc... can become that kind of "scientist"

Naga comes from Indian and southeast asian mythology, being described as powerful. but NOT a monster. they are.. in fact, Gods! , worshipped by indians in Hinduism context... and by populace of the northeastern region of Thailand, as... the "King of  river". Honoured by artworks in Buddhist temple... look at this!

Each naga has "Humanoid" morphs, "Serpentoid" appearances, and a mix of both..... i'm saying that. a naga can "morph" into certain forms. each naga rules a river, swamp, and boggy living things there. ... in certain day of October. if you are at Mekong (especially in Nakorn Panom province), you can see a mysterious "plasma" bursted out of Mekong and the plasma goes to the sky!!!!!!! . it is said that the plasma comes from Nagas living beneath the river!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C4%81ga look at Mekong section of this page and you will know why i give them their ability, the naga can use that plasma against the foe also. (without using a "forbidden weapon"!), and you understand why Naga should rule boggy cities!
And why hydra is in lower hierachy level? although hydra can regenerate. it can only "bite" opponents.....
and what form should naga be?.... classic HOMM 3 forms! (although some naga can have many heads like hydra but i prefer them to have classic HOMM3 appearance :lol: ).

woah, and I thought nagas were strong in homm 3.
but the problem is hydras are massive enough to be level 7 too.

with the naga town, i would have prefered it to have a few more nagas in it. along with the Hasharin (Assassins) in the Academy town (if they are crusader era palestine then it needs to have assassins)

but its your interpretation, and so its up to you.

alrite i may have to re-work on it....

some units might have to go ....

EDIT0: Wizzes got "School of Assassination" upgrade on Tavern. it works like training ground (or more precisely. certain heroes in H3 who can upgrades certain creatures into extremely powerful ones! remember Tarnum in Heroes Chronicles (he as a wiz)?, this buildings allows upgrades of Gremlins, Mages, and Djinns (and all upgraded ones) into a powerful (and ace!) Hasshisshiyn (sp?), who... foregoes shooting abilities but extensively trained how to precisely teleport to anywhere in the battlefield and backstab their enemies! (This time, hellish devils WATCHOUT!) + chances to do "sudden death" attack (one blows kill x numbers of creatures completely instead of hurting it!!!) + ignores defense!!!!!, HOWEVER, ace units comes with hight price! )

NEXT!

Dark Elves (if Ashan wars continue, dark elves will rule dungeon again )
Hero
MIGHT: Overlord / Slaver (?)
MAGIC: Warlock (can be nothing else )

As i've said earlier. DarkElves lost their war against Naga. so they have to let hydra go back to the swamps.
This time dark elves comes with Peacekeeper creature (to keeps both dark elves and their captives in line!)

Ah, now, i only meant that if it was going to be based on Crusader era islam then Hasharin would be needed. as for assassins, they would work well with the whole idea of keeping people inline for dark elves, like some kind of secret police.

alright Wizzes will lose assassin guild but get the dimension portal instead (warp to any wizard city that has it, allows direct recruitments from dwellings outside city)

Creatures
Level1: sentry warden / Policeman
weak shooter, uses shotgun (or rifle?), ability to scare opponents.
Dwelling: Guardhouse (or should be DEPD=Dark Elves Police Division ?)
Additional info: dark elves (and some other races, including some human, or goblin allies ) who mainly associates with slave trading, or civil services (the religious orders have a limited seats. i guess) to keep a newly unified dark elves empire in peace. at first they were setted up to guard cities while scouts required alots of training, sentries are poor-trained, and equipped with something darkelves don't like... (guns are noisy!), however, the dungeon commanders saw this new weapons as a perfect peacekeeping things. THEY KEEP CAPTIVES SCARED AND DISRUPT THEIR MINDS FOR PLANNING ESCAPES! so the commander equipped guardsmen with guns.
Level2: Blood sister Blood fury / Blood blader
Jump attack, no enemy penalty, fast unit.
Dwelling: Sororitas
Level3: Scout Hasshisshiyun (Sudden death-- chances that a damage will suddenly kills an opponent outright!) / Skirmisher (no range penalty/ disguise(??)
shooter, no melee penalty, no enemy retaliation in melee
Additional Info: they are now specialist instead of grunts! they are better trained now, but armed with repeating crossbow like before (they hate guns because it noisy!), also trained to use dagger in melee combat
Dwelling: Hasshisshiyun Guild
Level4: Minotaur Minotaur Gladiator / Minotaur Guard
Tanker, bravery (no morale debuff works!)
Dwelling: can be nothing else but Labyrinth
Level5: Dark Raider Dark Raptor / Dark Lancer
cavalry, jousting bonus.
Dwelling: Raptor racing track
Level6: Shadow Witch Shadow Matriach / Shadow Coquette (or femme fatale?)
Dwelling: Witch guild
Spellcaster, whipping, shooter, excels in debuffs, may hypnotise enemy
Level7: Chimera Nue (diseases enemy) / Volcanomera (?)
Tanker. attacks anyone arounds them. no enemy retaliation
Dwelling: Zoo
Additional info: THIS IS THE CREATURE THAT REPLACES HYDRA!
Level8: Black Dragon Dark Dragon / Shadow Dragon
THE LEGENDARY WARLOCK SUPER FLYER! CAN BE NOTHING ELSE! spell immunity (in certain categories, but NOT "slayer" buffs if attacker is buffed with this)
Dwelling: Dragon cave.

I just think some of them are a BIT too modern, like 'racing track' and 'zoo'. But I still think this is very close to perfect. 'Mazing!

-Policeman? Thought these were elves. leave it at Police.
-Blader is one of the no-no's on my list. How about something else.
-Um, try keeping words that are remotely pronouncible.
-Coquette? Hmm, never heard of that word.
-Volcanomera is really cool.

As for the factions I'm happy with those, which are now, but I really miss Lycanthropes...
I cannot really find it, but they were fully presented in the weekly faction contest by me...
