There's a rental tournament as part of the festival in the town we're in right now; we get supplied with three Pokemon to battle with instead of using our own. We can name a move or a specific species and winter will tell us what choices we have.
Oh, and apparently the current champion is a cheat, so we have to take him down.

We'll see. I've been way too unreliable for online posting lately and I don't want to commit to something I won't be able to see through.

After doing extensive research I have comprised a rather large list. I will break it down into First, second, and third pokemon choices, with alternatives listed for each and 'standbys' (just in case) which can be substituted for any of the pokemon choices should none of the options be available. The order will be from first to last choice, and the first one that is actually available should be used.
1st Pokemon
Rotom
Magneton
Magnemite
2nd Pokemon
Graveler
Onix
Geodude
3rd Pokemon
Arcanine
Ninetails
growlithe
Alternates that can be substituted for any of the above.
Sableye
Haunter
Ghastly
Misdreaveus
Drifloon
Drifblim
If for some reason I am still short 1 or more pokemon let me know

They were, indeed, rental choices. Either of them would fine to be traded for, also. Though, to add options for the trade, Cubone, Tyrogue, Tangela and Abra would be fine.

@mamgaeater: Yup. It's 10AM. The tournament starts at 11AM.
So, how do Vitamins work? Here goes:
Each Vitamin grants one bonus point for the stat it boosts. However, you can only use 10 of each Vitamin on a single Pokémon.

For my character, I'm usually going to only use knowledge the I have from pokemon, as the knowledge my character has. That way I'd have to learn, to have her learn.

Yeah. I think so. There will be exceptions to this, though. Moves, I would like to know if they're damaging/non-damaging/recovery/etc. So, those I will check. And certain things related to her favored pokemon.
This is so you all know, I might make bad calls in certain situations, like that poison vs steel. This might not help the team any. If I do, I'll just look at it as a learning experience, and deal with it.
