Seriously, it's been asked for every page the entire thread.
Don't comment if what you're going to say is of such little value. I asked that question because I wanted to know, why else?
don_komandorr, thanks for sharing an image! Looks really really good. All the hard work really show results.

I would rather prefer alternative units or new artifacts instead Forge Town, but it is only my humble opinion/wish.

If you don't like the Forge, don't play it and especially don't question it. Keep your humble wishes to yourself instead of trying to be a smartass.

Is the standing animation included in the bug fix?
By the way, are the random maps (1-10) provided permanent? or will they be getting their own names/removed when the Hota Map Editor is finally released? Because I found a few (that I think) are terrain/object misplacement and I'd like to report them somewhere (if not in the dev forum, but I can't speak Russian) or would it be unnecessary due to the coming things.
And again, thanks in advance for your valiant efforts.

"Tank" is just a name we call it. It has not much in common with real life tanks. It's reimagination of NWC Tank's concept.
Random maps in hota are random. Since hota has no random map generator there are maps that was generated and then filled with hota objects.

Ok, thanks for the confirmation. Then they're placement bugs from the random then.
Ok, I'm not getting the installer here, mind helping me out? Why do I get a Yellow "!" notification after that?

I vaguely remember reading about creatures like the Satyr being an alternative creature, but what else was planned to be alternative creatures/upgrades?

I also remember Nightmare being planned as an alternative Inferno creature.

Here are alternative creatures that were planned aside from the ones already mentioned. I think the HotA crew said that alternative creatures isn't a feature that will be implemented in the coming versions but will be saved for later though.
Werewolf for Necropolis
Mummies for Necropolis
Sphinx for Stronghold
Leprechaun for Rampart
EDIT:
I wonder what happened to the planned desert terrain, shown here:
New terrains would be very cool in my opinion. But maybe HotA scrapped it? From the looks of it it's an old screenshot and therefore possibly an expired idea?
I atleast hope we'll see a new terrain once Forge gets released as hinted on the screenshots. :-)

Hey Guys! First of all, HoTA IS AWESOME! Congrats! And I also like the concept of Forge, it has a lot of potential in it. However in Cove town I feel the lizard, nix doesn't really fit, there are a lot of other cool sea creatures like leviathan, kraken, naiad, siren, octopus or squid. Unless you want to create a full water town later, but still, the lizard doesn't feel right.

Very, very cool! Glad to see progress is going nice and fast I only have one question at the moment though.
What is the currently planned new towns for the game at final release? Cove/Forge/ / /?
(I Know that Kronwerk and Cathedral were originally planned)
Also, are there any patch with the newest released version? thought I saw something but couldn't find it again.

I don't think the HotA team will change the Nix. It's been a part of Cove for a long time.

I think Forge is the only officially announced town since Kronwerk and Cathedral were scrapped.
There is a bugfix released for HotA 1.1: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q5etub9eeivj8k7/HotA1_1Bugfix.exe
and also https://dl.dropbox.com/u/61759222/HoMM/HotA_ext.lod which is an external lod file which experiments on having creature accumulation in external creature dwellings.

I think the Nix fits in perfectly well. If anything, it's one of the few additions to the Cove town that makes it true to the Heroes of Might and Magic style of each town is a compilation of creatures that can potentially fit well together :3

It means that whenever they do a battle against an enemy creature stack or hero, they will get the speed bonus from the terrain type, I believe.

Usual native terrain bonuses on every terrain: no movement penalty; +1 attack, defend, speed in battle; detection and ignoring landmines in battle.

I have recreated the map "Shores of Hell" from one of the HotA campaigns because I loved its geography and its feeling. I hope the HotA team aren't offended in any way by this. If so I will take down the link but I hope they won't be. All credits go to the HotA team - the original creators of this map.
I thought it would be a great 1v1 map and I recommend playing with Cove. Remember that this map can only be played with h3hota.exe as it contains HotA objects.

I hope you like it. Please give me feedback.
