I don't think people started "copying" LOTR after the movies have been made

Orcs aren't naturally created. They were made from elves, just like trolls were made from ents.
But nature does have uses for something that only destroys because it controls the amount of other life.
Oh and LoTR has always been famous.

Why do you assume nature develops these particular species? Magic is normally a factor too when you're discussing fantasy worlds

Most fantasy games have "gods" by the way. Or "demons". Either way, they can be used to 'influence' the races, see?

Yes but i agreed on the Orcs and Demons part in some fantasys.
I understand the Orcs and Uruk'hai in LOTR because they were not natually created.
What creature is Sauron? My dad says he is evil itself lol.
Also all fantasys didnt copy LOTR. The only copied thing is Orcs which was DRAMATICALLY changed.
Wood Elves and Dwarfs were already in norse and celtic mythology, trolls too. Trolls existed long ago in Sweden and people really belived in Trolls for several hundreds of years lol.
Lol trolls were Treants and Orcs elves? Does not sound very creative tbh

Even "natural" races can be influenced by Demons, and make them purely evil.

Sauron was a... Hold on... ima fetch sumsthing..
It says that Sauron was a maiar, some sort of a lower angel. He became a lieutenant of the devil (Morgoth) and when Morgoth was beaten and chained after a great battle, Sauron hid himself in the dark and shadows. There, he found Mt. Doom, a place where he could forge his great power.
(btw, The balrog was also a maiar and, in some extent, gandalf was also a maiar)(but the correct term for gandalf is istari)
Thanks to morgoth Sauron became a great wizard (or warlock) (in some books he is refferred to as a necromancer)
He sought to take control over Middle-Earth with the survivors of the great battle (the battle were Morgoth was beaten) the orcs, but he was beaten by the great men of Numenor. Sauron tried another tactic...
He saw the power of the numenoreans become greater, during 1500 years. He then let himself be taken captive by them. He corrupted the people from within by talking to the kings and servants. He led them down a path of total annihalation. Every numenorean was taken down.(except for Elendil) He was also taken down, unfortunately for him. From then on, he could anly take shape as a burning man, a gruesome sight. It took many years, before he could take shape, but when he finally could, he launched another attack and, because of his impatience, he was banished again by the end of the second era.
That is a bit of the story of Sauron that you didn't see on the movies.
Ow and xerox, here's a quote about his motives. He was corrupted by a god who is "evil".
Quote: As for Sauron's motives, Tolkien noted that "it had been his virtue (and therefore also the cause of his fall...) that he loved order and coordination, and disliked all confusion and wasteful friction." Thus "it was the apparent will and power of Melkor to effect his designs quickly and masterfully that had first attracted Sauron to him."

Quote: And just because I dont like the game im going to flame it now.
That's a sure way to become popular!
Quote: "ancient dragons slumbering in the depths of the earth" = Black Dragons in WoW. Black Dragons are led by Neltharion (also called Deathwing by lesser races) who is the Aspect of Earth.
Blight = Scourge! This is the most obvious refrence!!!
The Blight is used by the evil undead and created by Liches (who are Mages!!!). It is used to corrupt enemies and everything it touches but empowers the Scourge.
Okey I failed to find copies on the official site but I still dont like the game
No just failed in general lol
Those features supposedly copied from WOW are a joke like that post a long time ago that he got the first peanut for
Dragons in the earth- Black dragons in wow???
Dragon mythology has been around for hundreds of years... WOW has been around for four!
lol...
Blight = Scourge?
lol..
Also I remember talking about Dragon Age back in 2004. It is also similar to (as it is created by the same people) Baldur's Gate, which was released in 1998, which is based on DND which was created in 1974.
Copied from WOW lol.
Wow has people....
This game has people....
Real life also has people....
Real life copied WOW!

I must say that i find this game terrible!
(Builded on trailers and gameplay movies)
Graphics are bad!
Gameplay looks way too slow and boring!
But the idea is good though!
But that's maybe mostly because i don't really like theese kind of games at all!

Maybe this game is the only one that can match oblivion.
Imo, this game will have better storyline than oblivion.

To play this thing, I'd need a new comp (I can barely run NWN2)

Pardon my ignorance, but what the heck is so interesting in that video? The narrator explains how you can have "multiple choices" in a conversation? What's so great about that? It's not like it is the first game in history to have that option wtf. I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary, to be honest. Unless you're really concerned about graphics, Baldur's Gate or even Gothic are quite similar, only that the latter doesn't have a "party" and you are mostly alone, but the in-town view is pretty similar.
I have no idea why the narrator just simply tried to advertise this game with features that almost all RPGs have
