But after Kc4 there's chess for you so you can't do b3-b4 not to mention that won't be a mate.

To be honest I'm not sure if there are any puzzles in CM11. Haven't checked yet, I spent too much time watching famous games and the openings, I know around 40 personally and I thought that's a lot, but CM11 burst my bubble with 100+ openings covered

100? 100 basic yes. But if you check the variations of the sicilian for example, you get another 100, in addition to the primaries

I got it all wrong.
If he goes Kc4, just do
b3 f3
and it's still a mate in two.

Yeah yuo're right but Keldorn said mate in two...
So how does this go then? When you're checked they don't count?
EDIT: just saw your above post. Good one. I didn't see that one. All of the other moves I could see from A6-A2 forward. I somehow confused d3 and Kc4 together. Must be beacuse I'm not very good at chess.
Now why did you skip these moves in your original post? I've seen you, Keldorn and I think it was Death too skip some moves in the resolves. Why do you do these? Are they too obvious or...?

As for the skipped moves, well, we could explain every possible move, but that takes long and it's not necessary, we only cover those which aren't too obvious.
Myself, I prefer to write "any move" if mate is unavoidable instead of explaining every possible move and the countermove (which leads to mate), and follow that with "countermove ++". If any of the possible moves is dubious to anyone, I can explain in detail.

But you use "any move" when the move the opponent makes doesn't change the move your gonna make.
But just for future reference when trying to explain the deeper meanings of chess to peasant, like me myself and I (who only couldn't solve this one so far) we often think our head through why isn't that move viable. When someone doesn't play chess more than a few tiomes a year then things like that aren't so obvious.

That's what Keldorn and I are for in this thread. If you have any doubts, just ask Well, we're not brilliant, but I guess that after some time spent on chess, it's pretty easy to quickly discover "hidden" moves, especially if it only takes one or two moves, so we should manage to write a solution for any intermediate-and-slightly-above problem. The REAL chess begin when you have to think 5-6 moves forward, or more..

Doomforge and the others keep talking about the Black King moving to C4, but with the current positions it can't because of the White Queen... did I miss something?
