Duel Map Tournament
The temple is a fine place for strategy discussions and I have had a good time here posting and reading replies but theory is hardly a substitute for the real thing  And while I have been here for a long time I never organized something, I suppose I have been busy with toh and some other responsibilities.
But lately I see that the community's interest is growing with PhoenixReborn's casual online player matchmaking thread and Genielord's Olympics that featured an H5 Duel Tournament both becoming pretty successful.
Around that time I was already updating my duel map and Fiur offered to instill in it his artistic touch and enable simultaneous turns  He also helped test it and suggested the tournament so he deserves special praise 
Now here's the basic idea:
Each can pick a faction with a starting lvl 1 hero and week 3 armies, the standard heroes being Dougal, Grok, Anwen, Kaspar, Erling, Gorshak and Eruina.(Modified to have pathfinder specialty for balance purposes) Each starts with advanced racial and the two common perks so Laszlo for instance starts with advanced counterstrike, retaliation strike and expert trainer. Army strength is the equivalent of 5 weeks time plus the growth dwellings and racial adjustments for racials as training and necromancy.
You start with a town for the purpose of retraining your army and learning spells. The sphinx will level you up to 21 and there is also a mentor just in case you were unlucky with the offered skills. There is also an arcane library to help in cases of poor spell availability.
I have done quite a bit of testing and each faction can defeat the other but of course skills, chance and atb have a role to play. Nothing is certain, any battle can be won or lost

Special thanks to Zenithale for his arena mod, it adds extra battlefield terrains that may appear instead of the old ones.
DO NOT USE THE MOD THE MAP NOW CONTAINS IT
FEATURES
- Map has premade week 5 armies with modified growth. I assume you build up to tier 4 week 1 and up to 7 with castle week 2. Basically base growth x 9.
- Included two artifact merchants for each faction, also arcane library with a few resource restrictions.
- Banned artifacts: Tomes, ring of speed, staff of the netherworld, sandals of the blessed, ring of caution, pendant of mastery, mask of equity, scrolls, unicorn horn bow, skull of Markal, rune of flame, robe and crown of Sar Issus, lion crown, armour of forgotten hero, windstrider boots and cloak of death�s shadow and artifacts that do not have a battle purpose.
- Banned spells: Earthquake, divine vengeance, armageddon, curse of the netherworld, word of light [deland rune of charge.
- Fortress has limited gems/mercury to avoid rune of resurrection/thunderclap abuses.
You must end your turn for the script to activate.
- Demonlords and necros can buy cloak of Sylanna.
- Shatter dark hut for the orcs.
- Stormwind now gives -10% init and -1 speed.
OFFICIAL RULES:
- Each battle will be decided in the best of 3 duels.
- We use hamachi version 1.0.1.5, which can be found here.
- Do not recruit units from town.
- Each round lasts for a week, if you fail to finish by then you are disqualified. If there are rl complications I will grant a few extra days.
- Haven may not have more than 25 paladins.
- Academy may not use lvl 3 mini arties.

Totally random builds.
 
Eugen - Lucky Badge
  
Asheera - Badge of the Shattered Mirror, Arcane Caster
First round elimination for 4 consecutive tournaments.
Dungeon Specialist.
   
Arcax - Badge of Endurance, Dwarven Pride, Tann Slayer
He's been subjected to almost every possible annoyance throughout the season.
Fortress specialist.
Tann hat trick baby!
 
Elvin - Badge of Outrageous Resistance, Lucky Badge
  
Final_Boss - Necropope, Undead
Necropolis specialist.
  
Zamfir - Cursed, Redemption
Formerly banned.
Has reformed since.
  
Blizzardboy - Snowball from Hell, Wienerless
Whatever that means.
No wiener for Blizzard.
SeLu87 - Dwarven Pride
Fortress Specialist.
 
Tann - Fast Learner
  
Pera - Badge of Order, Less Haste More Speed
Keeper of the Order badge, a sign of great skill.
Slow to start games.
 
Larry - Chaos Badge
Winner of the Chaos tournament and therefore proclaimed luckiest player of the tournament.
 
Vokial - Who's your Daddy Badge
  
lucky_dwarf - Unlucky, Death Note
Writes down the names of the people who defeated him in the hope they will die a painful death. Or that he will wreak his terrible revenge upon them soon.
  
Veco - Small Final Champion, Mana Leecher
To outmana a wizard with a knight, now that is an accomplishment

In the first version I had Godric that is not a generic hero and after I replaced him for balance the hero slot looks random. Anyway if you start you get Laszlo as intended. And you are missing out Lexxan, good custom maps out there
