Aaaaw man… I haven’t faced a female HoMM player since HoMM3 times, and now when I’m at just 1 step from doing it again Dagoth has to eliminate her. You’ll pay for this Dagoth…

I'm not sure if Blizzardboy has an HC messenger that isn't working or not, but I have sent 2 mesages now with no response

HAHAHA that priceless! Yeah Dagoth had his share of mistakes, namely ignoring firebreath and firewalls yet he still won so that means he is too awesome for out comprehension  Seriously though keep in mind that Dagoth has not been playing much and movement paths or pattern attacks are something that you learn through experience. This isn't a Caesar's tournament after all, anyone can play for the fun of it 
Asheera had a part of the blame herself  Against academy it is always recommended to have extra speed to charge most of your units in the thick of battle - say tactics or aura of swiftness. Also resistance is a vital perk just as elemental resistance arties. Dagoth got lucky with spellpower/knowledge - boy those minies were good - so sylvan's chances lay in finishing the battle as fast as possible. The gargoyles with extra speed were funny 
In the second battle she picked attack and expert leadership when she only needed defense. Basic leadership with runic attunement would be enough as for tactics it was a bit of a gamble. I personally prefer when taking such chances to go all the way, say aim for retribution just in case it doesn't work. If less spells were resisted she could have won the game.

In the second game, I had Leadership because I wanted (and got) Empathy (This also means Enlightenment - one of the best skills)
And I did aim for Retribution, but the lack of skill points forced me to unlearn Expert Attack (I had it at that point) since the skill itself is pretty useless (and at least I got Master of Ice + Cold Death this way)
So defense would be pretty much out of the question as well unfortunately... I was missing skill points for it.
About the Sylvan thing, I agree I should have gotten some +Speed increases. But I aimed for Empathy and got it, hoping that the hero's spells will be enough to finish Dagoth's creatures... unfortunately, I forgot about the Golems and Gargoyles being (almost) immune.

Should have aimed for summoning and master of life then Once I won Arcax because my fist of wrath could target his magic immune units

I'm playing Arcax at the moment. Replaying first game in a different place with different formations favoured me with lucky strikes and resistance so we are 1-0. Replay.
Edit:
Due to a blackout the second game was disconnected, to think it was the second time we developed our heroes because of a d/c and the autosave corrupted.. We were playing me dwarves, Arcax necro and it was going pretty well until than point.
I was sick of playing a slow race again so we rerolled and got orcs vs haven. I went with retribution/aura of swiftness/exp defense/adv luck/detain dark while Arcax went for retribution/empathy/light and dark. I was lucky with timing as my shamans could slow griffins before they dived and my chieftains had my cyclopes hit champions/angels before I was charged, add some well placed lucky hits and you get the idea. Arcax probably needed more might skills, he cast mass haste and vampirism on champions but they fell faster than they resurrected themselves. Don't know if he had frenzy but I had immunity from the dwarven shield.
No replay, was a lucky game.
Final score 2-0, better luck next time

About blizzardboy/destro's matches:
I'd probably have blocked the nightmares with the dancers, that early fear was partly why the game was lost. The other more important part was lack of mana, that early rain of chain lightning had minimal impact and wasted much of the mana. Another thing that probably would be better is cast confusion before slow, maybe destro hoped to act again before arcanes?
In the second match we have another devastating early charge, the bears could have blocked the raiders. Also I saw no runes on first turn, dragonform would have given some magic protection or rune of immunity. About the flamelords I would have preferred attacking hydras right away than hit them with flamewave. That fireball really hurt

hello there! as you clearly see from my post count i'm freshly after registration
i've been looking around these forums for um... half a year now or so and I found this thread so interesting that made me want to take part of it
score one for Elvin I guess, hehe
anyways... I don't see much replays with fortress using luck. i mean this is a faction that benefits most from it, right? luck to help the pathetic damage and soldiers luck form crippling wound, bear roar, mark of fire, flamwave. no other faction benefits this much form this perk imo.
back to topic - a solid performance by blizzardboy and incredibly funny repalys from Dagoth vs Asheera. i mean how was that possible, it must've been the hero builds that won the game. so good you dont bother with firewalls/firebreaths, AoE spells, Dagoth share your skillwheel with us

Welcome veco, glad that I drew your interest I almost always pick luck with fortress, not just for the base skill as both soldier's and dwarven luck are great for the faction. And you are right, more often that not the right build will win games almost by itself. Rest is spell availability and initiative randomness as you will see for yourself. Hope you will participate in the next round
Edit:
Btw would be nice if all you guys kept screens of the artifacts and skills. Even if you forget before battle you can always do it during it by right clicking the hero.

I surely will try but don't expect me to be a tough cookie, all I ever do is play vs AI mostly on normal. Hard if I'm feeling crazy
I think I should get hamachi and make a test duel to see if I can run it properly

One of my funniest games ever Sq79's necro owns my sylvan in what is probably the greatest resistance show ever. If you thought I am lucky with resistance wait till you see this. But resistance is not always in your favour,
see for yourselves.
