That's reserved for the hall of imbalance  Bad thing with sylvan is that high druids can boost every single school and often beyond the point they are balanced. I believe that with enough luck they are almost unbeatable as they have few weaknesses, crazy damage output and certain exploits.
They lose their arcanes? One resurrection can bring them back.
They want to surprise their opponent with magic? Easy with high druids.
They want to end the game before it starts? With some luck it can be done as well, not against factions like haven and fortress but I've seen them do it against stronghold. Not here though, few favoured enemies to achieve that.
Shatter magic? Which one? And detain won't work because they mostly use spells through imbue that counts as a physical attack, not spellcasting.
You are afraid of swift mind and dark? Magic resistance and well placed silver unicorns can often take care of that.
Btw I'm considering about removing the mentor from the map. It offers quite a few exploits and is also a reason why factions like dungeon can end with outrageously high mana. I believe that necro for instance would have a lot more chances against dungeon if dungeon could not learn and unlearn mana/knowledge perks.
About sylvan's favoured enemies I may have to revise that part. I may have won stronghold with sylvan but perhaps adding the slayers would even the odds?
I'm on the lookout for new improvements so I'm counting on your comments. My time is not as much as it used to be

Um...what is the joke I am missing? Its entirely possible that the people just don't know how to play Sylvan well. Its also entirely possible they are a weak faction relative in this situation.
In any case, they have lost 4 times in a row that I've seen. A pattern is emerging, this is indisutable. What it means is up for debate.

OFC Sylvan is weak when Ranger is only shooting to Magma's ekhem...
Other replays are great and shows potential of players.We all know that Wood Elves are very powerful(damn Ossir) but still able to be defeated(owning everything Sylvan is maybe a sterotype).
Back to the "weak" problem-I hope you remember Eugen vs Fiur battle...

Don't get me wrong, I love Sylvan. Just hate seeing them lose! They did beat Fortress but those 3 fights (a few pages back) were odd...
Hmm on this duel map if I was sylvan, I would take Leadership + Attack + Luck and aim for Retribution, Aura of Swiftness and Nature's Wrath with as much Luck and Initiative arties as I could get. Speed Boots also!
For the 4th skill I'd take light magic to expert. Then I'd hope I could take out as many as I could in the first blow, and keep my pristines and treants alive with rez to mop up the remnants.

No. I play Sylvan a lot and they are very strong. You can easily beat Haven with them, I lost because I had a risky build and the ATM bar screwed me over nicely at the beginning of combat.Lucky Clone Crystal Dragons attack and the whole thing would have looked waaay different. But yeah that's just in theory.
Things could also have looked like this. I'm not playing against myself there it's one of the more experienced players on this forum.
And the build you mention isn't particulary effective against Haven as they will outmight you pretty badly. That build is more effective vs. Dungeon and Inferno (and Necro?) where you need to bring the guys down FAST.
EDIT: Elvin I'm not sure about removeing the mentor entirely . I think reduceing the money would be an better option. Unfortunately that'd limit the Artefact buying which would kind of suck I guess. Or simply prohibiting learning something for the bonus and then unlearn it again. Limiting the Mentor use would of course be ideal I believe but I don't believe that's possible.

I don't think that build works against haven because the stack of 30ish cavaliers/champions/paladins would decimate any stack you try to hit it with. You really need dark to counter it unless the unicorns get lucky with blind on the first hit. Then you can try to keep them rooted with the treants (if you endurance them). And pick them off with arcanes from a distance if your army can take care of the rest.

Removing the Mentor? That's part of the fun - most of the time I get 1 or 2 crappy perks.
And I'm not one that abuses the Mentor a lot - let's say I use it maximum three times. I need money for Artifacts

btw, I think that if I picked Ancient Treants instead of Savage ones I would have won that fight with Elvin. Take Roots would have helped them survive longer and probably I could have killed those Paladins in time.
Next time I'll know that Ancient Treants are better when fighting Haven.

That has happened to me a few times, seems hamachi is used a bit too much during the weekend. Leave it open and it will eventually establish a connection. I have to say this however, saving something for last moment is risky. You should have tried earlier than leave it for the last day.
Edit: Just tried it and it logged in normally. Word of advice, if you see it stuck at probing then turn it off and on. Also wait for the green dot to stop blinking.
