Fortress:
An overall rank for this castle is 2nd or 3rd place,in tie with stronghold.Powerful creatures,great abilities,one of the best heroes in the game.
The only problem is the lack of good mage guild.
1-Gnolls,they are average 1st lvl creatures,that can ease ur earl game.The upgrade of them to Maradeur isnt necessary,the only        noticible change ull notice is speed change.
2-lizards,they are as well an average shooters with low attack and high defense which in my opinon isnt the way for a shooter,upgrade isnt imoprtant,but if can be done is good.
3-serpent fly,very great unit,not only has high speed for its lvl,it aslo dipsells beneficial spells of the enemy,a great unit to have in ur army from day 1,will give u chance to do 1st,an upgrade of them is a good choice that adds a weakening strike and adds even higher speed.
4-basilisk,a strong creature with great ability to have a 20% to freeze the  target,lasts 3 turns,whenever target is attacked it receives 50 % the initial dmg and unfreezes,the only lack is its speed,5.That is why there is an upgrade for them that increases its by 2.                            
5-gorgons,are the one of the best and are best after upgrade.Very tough deadling a lot of dmg.Dont waste them against 1-5th lvl creatures,attackonly high lvls.Mighty gorgons have chance of doing death stare.The ammount of killed units=x/10,where x is the ammount of Mgorgons in ur army.If ammount of gorgons is not equal #,ex:24 gorgons,so 2 creatures will die and there will be a 40% for 1 more creature.
6-wyverns,are one of the weakest lvl 6th creatures,their ability,poisoning, makes them a little better.Least ammount of HP poisoned is 10%,highest 50%.The ammount of poisoning will be reduced with each turn,but it can be removed by cure or dispel.Their real strenght is in their #s,they can easily be given to u at the hives(from 6-18 per hive)
7-Hydras,are very tough,are low on dmg,but hex attack and no enemy retaliation says it all.Upgrade is definate,the increase in Hp and speed is very important.They are also very cheap and dont need that many recousrces to be build or upgraded compared to other lvl 7 creatures.

Heroes:
1.Bron is a great starting hero.Having a few basilisks on day 1,what esle do u want?Also with time increases the chance to freeze target.

3.Tazar is one of the best heroes in game.His defense speciality is very helpful.The huge misconception that ppl make about Tazar or any other hero with defense spec is that it has nothing to do with defense.And that on 20 lvl they will not have 115% of dmg reduced.Here is how it counts:
5th lvl=(15%(exp armor)+15%(armor)*5(heroes lvl)*5%)=18.75% dmg reduced.
10th lvl=(15%+15%*10*5%)=22.5% dmg reduced
20th lvl=(15%+15%*20*5%)=30% dmg reduced

@Xar the part about death stare is right,maybe not for the hero giving more chance for it as some 1 mentioned.If u dont like it,make ur own or do something good instead of trying to find smth to quote from other people.
