Games for Xbox 360

I'm wondering to buy a Xbox 360, although, i'm not sure.

If i do, are there any games you should recommend, and what games sucks (to say it easy)

I have seen a bit on Halo 3, Fable II and Oblivion. All three have good reviews at different games sites, but are there others (I guess the three mentioned before are good).

Any other games in the style above (Halo, Rpg) worth buying?
I'm a bit sceptical to rts on consolles, but if they work good...

Hell no!Only if you have 50 fingers like some Asian goldfarmers...The controllers really suck with RTS games.

Halo 3 is overhyped.
Oblivion is completely crap compared to Morrowind. Besides no mods so its evne worse.
Fable 2? I heard its weak compared to Fable 1.

The Good:
1) Oblivion is great.  Get the Game of the Year edition if you can find it.
2) Fable 2 is excellent.  I've played it extensively and find it to be one of the most enjoyable games on the system.
3) Bioshock is another great title.  It's a first person shooter set in an "Atlas Shrugged" environment gone horribly wrong.
4) Earth Defense Force 2017 (I think that's the title).  It's just goofy fun. You play as a soldier shooting giant ants, spiders, and robots with hundreds of different weapons.
5) Eternal Sonata is a great rpg that revolves around a world created by Chopin on his deathbed.
6) Tales of Vesperia.  If you like any of the Tales rpgs, you'll like Vesperia.
7) Dead Rising is a guilty pleasure.  Nothing like hacking apart zombies with just about anything not nailed to the ground.
8) Mass Effect is the best rpg on the system.
9) The Orange Box.
10) Lost Odyssey.  Another great jrpgs for the system.
11) Fallout 3.
12) You can't go wrong with Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
13) If you like jrpgs, Blue Dragon is full of old skool goodness.

There are many others but I can only remember so much.

The Bad:

1) Monster Madness.  Cool concept, good music, horrible controls.
2) Onechanbara:  Bikini Samaurai Squad.  While Swords + Bikinis + Zombies = Win, the game honestly isn't that good.  I enjoy it, but if you're expecting a top tier game, look elsewhere.
3) Enchanted Arms: For a launch game, it isn't a horrible rpg but there are just so many better games to play.

the only 2 games I have on the 360 are the orange box and far cry 2

the orange box is really good.

far cry 2 is good too, but may not please everyone, its main strength is basically to be different from other FPSs, and allowing you to play more strategically than only counting on your skills.

I'm thinking of getting fallout 3 next...

IMO, none of the new generation of consoles are worth getting yet, unless you like Nintendo games, in which case you should get a Wii, or if you like console FPSs, in which case you should get a 360. (Personally, I think FPSs should be played with a keyboard and mouse and nothing else.)

I agree with  mvass if you want to have fun get better pc,if you want to buy 400$ system and then buy games(50$ each) you are mindless. But its your choice. On other hand why get Xbox if you can buy PS3 with a lot better graphics.

I don't know about that. Some games, like fighters and action-platformers, are much better suited for the consoles than for the PC. And PS3 and Xbox 360 have about equal graphics.

But ofcourse you would get a $600(games+Xbox) to play some fighter and shooter games casue thats about all there is,including some sports. As for me PC rocks.

Yes PC is best, but on consolles you don't always need better parts to make you able to run your game...

Also reason why I take Xbox over Ps3
Xbox=323$
Ps3=556$

Xbox have two games included and is a lot of cheaper. Not sure if the grapgics is worth that...
Also i'm and my brother will pay the half each (if we decide to buy one)

Hmm... well, if you're buying a new console I'd suggest getting a PS3 despite how expensive it is... it has more of a future you know, quite superior specs.

Also, if you're interested in JRPGs and stuff, the PS3 is a clear choice.

(Though I've heard that the next Final Fantasy will be released for the 360 too...)

The oly reason why you should by the xbox is that it's cheaper than ps3!
Oh, and GTA IV expansion is only available on xbox

But Ps3 has so much more usefull.. Better graphic (quite important!), Blueraydrive for qualaty dvd's and games.
You can play burned DVD's on it without a chip!

___________

Negative about Xbox: Well it needs alot to be equal with ps3..

Negative about Ps3: It's expensive, and it can't really run Ps2 games, only few..

___________

A new pc would be the best! but still, it feels much better when you have a controller in your hand, playing with a huuge HD tv and ps3.. It's just lovely..

Ninja Gaiden 2. Just finished it and it rocks. Gears of War are good too. Anyone played the second part? Was it good?
Also Far Cry Instincs: Predator was pretty good.

Damn... just watched some videos of that Ninja Gaiden 2 game...

Now I'm in doubt again... the PS3 misses out on both this game and Gears of War...

Aww...

I might buy a 360 after all

EDIT: If I were to get a 360, will I need an internet connection?
I highly doubt that my mobile internet can be connected to a 360 so I just thought I'd ask.

Seeing how the consoles get closer and closer to the computer I can imagine that something like "You can't play this game cuz you haven't downloaded the latest 360 service pack" or something pops up...

EDIT2: Also... will I need the huge amount of harddrive space for anything but downloaded demos and movies...? I mean, if I only plan to use it offline I might as well buy a super-cheap 360 Arcade right?

The good thing about the 360 is that you know when you buy a game you can pop it in and it will run perfectly. With a PC you may buy a $50 and find out your computer refuses to run it for some reason. Example being I can't run Heroes 5 for some reason on the computer in my room, but I can run Dark Messiah perfectly. Doesn't make any sense.

As for 360 compared to PS3 I would go with 360 as more people have it, and I only know of a few that have PS3 (or have both). On the other hand I hear that PS3 online is free, which is mandatory if you ask me on console game systems. I can't even play without Xbox Live, its just so boring without being able to talk to my friends while I play.

Forgot to throw in that PS3 usually gets screwed when it comes to extra content, as in they never get it released to them. So each has its downsides.

As for games,

The Good: Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect

The Okay: Halo 3, Call of Duty: World at War, Perfect Dark: Zero

The Bad: Farcry 2, Frontlines: Fuel of War,

The Overrated: Gears of War, Fallout 3
