I know they're not free, but if you pay $50-60 for a game you have the right to expect that game to come with services, of which free online is one.
Plus, it's not like Exbawks with one-fee-fits-all, if EVERY SINGLE PC developer charged $15 a month to play online...you wouldn't be able to play anything online at all, which would kill most PC games. That's why Blizzard even hinting at this is a horrifying precedent.

No, im 13 years old.

Its my thread and I didnt begin the worshipping Blizzard part.
I just said that they would merge and that you maybe would have to pay but I obviously misread (although I read fast because I know I would misread and piss you off).

That would not work too well in the long run when sales go down and the servers start getting too expensive and would have to be shut down or they could alternatively pay the upkeep with income from advertisements.

Some might call this being paranoid. If such a thing started happening people would start supporting the developers who don't charge a monthly fee for their online gaming services and cause the developers who do to somehow respond to his and remain competetive. And/or there would most likely be a rise of 3rd party online gaming service providers to who the developers would go to have them host the online servers for their games.

Here's my thing; if Starcraft 1's servers are still up after 10 years, why does there need to be a fee? Even Red Alert 2's servers are still up. Hard to justify a fee for server upkeep from that.
And, if Blizzard charges money for, say, SCII online and gets away with it, other companies will do it too so they too can exploit the profits. And that is a disturbing idea.

Uhm... you do know that Blizzard is developing a Warcraft movie, four games at the same time etc.
The servers of like 5 games.
They use their money.
If we had Wc4 instead of WoW do you really think we would get this much from Blizzard?
Not to mention all content and goodies we hard working WoW players get. WotLK is the best expansion I have ever tried.
Burning Crusade was much worse and just grind everywhere and it was hard to progress into raids.
It was also to chilidish and there were purple crystal hammers and everything. Blizz messed up the lore but apolglized for it.
I will be stuck to WoW for all eternity and its good lol.

The Warcraft lore past WC3, much like scientology, exists only as long as people are paying for it, and it shifts and changes simply to suit the needs of screaming 10 year olds / bored teenagers / lifeless divorced men. And 90% of them don't even care about that lore.
An entire universe changing and even existing in the first place, so that kids have something to grind and yell "omgwtflol".
And pay a monthly fee.

Then please tell me some part in Warcraft lore which you dont like and maybe I can explain it for you.
In WotLK the lore is awesome, although I dont like that Arthas actually banished Ner'zhul for himself.
Everything makes sense in WotLK and Warcraft is getting a new true war. An Alliance VS Horde war. Previosuly in WoW, the Alliance and the Horde had "peace" or atleast a pact/long ceasefire.
With some minor conflicts surroanding the Orcs descretation (from Alliance eyes) of Ashenvale Forest etc.
Also only 7% of WoW population is under 15 years old...
While 60% are 30-40 years old.
You only asume that all in WoW are 10 year old idiots just because I play the game. That is very illogical to me.
Also my seasonal trolling has already ended. It only lasts for 2 days. Are you happy now?
It will come back in about 3 months.

More characters died in Warcraft 3 then in WoW.
All major characters in WoW were not killed by players - all were killed by other lore characters!
You automatically asume that everyone goes evil without reason, there is no story and that we only play because of loot and treasures!
I become ****ing pissed off with people saying that actually.
Illidan was executed by Maiev Shadowsong. Maiev got consumed by vengeance and depressed. We still dont know about her fate after the infilitration of the Black Temple.
But what would otherwise happen to Illidan? Illidan needed to be killed off. He served no purpose anymore. He didnt develop the story. His Demon Hunters live on, led by Aldrius.

It really bothers you that people assume you play an evil person in a game because you enjoy doing what evil people do? The only reason you are playing World of Warcraft is for loot and treasures.
