Now I feel terrible. This all started back when I was getting the Nazi HCM's. I know I can be oversensitive to such things. Now we have people all wanting to quit, and getting mad at Val for trying to help me..and other mods who just are trying to make things easier for me. I know that their was a lot more too it then just that, I am not that egotistical, but just seemed to escalate because of it...

There are two people who I once thought of as QP hunters - that have shown me since this happened that they are not. Without losing the stars, I might never have known I was wrong. That's what that meant.

Some Phoenixy thoughts coming forth. First off please read people's posts before responding especially in a dangerous heated argument thread like this.
I think hatred toward mods is a modding thing not a qp thing. I've seen it on other boards. So don't feel guilty Mytical and Pan.
What I'm not understanding is how the 'system' works now. I tried to ask in a couple of threads and the answer I got was that mods decide flood protect and can silence. Based on what?

Pan I think you missed a rather decesive part of my post. If I may suggest you reread my reply with the "I'll read the rest of your reply now."

Allow me to demonstrate.
BWAHAHHAHAHAHA  Joking aside it will obviously depend on the member's attitude, you could expect Natalka to be given floodprotect but not you for instance.
And please drop it Azagal.. You know that you can't communicate right with pan, why bother?

Azagal, if the award/token of recognition from the mods is all that people are complaining about the loss of then they are completely incorrect to do so; bonuses handed down from the mods still exist.
They just aren't visible under your profile to every other member of the community, which seems to be the crux of the matter here, no? And that's a different story entirely from just wanting an official pat on the back.
Lexxan, in regards of your claims to us "whining", the only side that can be construed as whining here is the side complaining about QPs. We may have falliable arguments that don't make sense but I haven't seen a single post in favor of the new system "whining".

I'm disappointed : I've just learnt that QPs were removed. Why ? Let it at last for the Heroes V Workshop part of the forum, I was a bit "sad" when I discover that all my QP were gone. QPs in this part of the forum are important I think, I'm very affected. 
When this forum is the only way to speak about and create MODs, when in the real life all people around you don't care of all your work, the QPs are important.
You may have good reasons to remove the QP system, but at least let it for the modders who have only that* to "thanks"/"reward" their work when nobody else in the real life do it...
I said this because I'm in the case, and it is really, really hard to live.
There we are, I said what I thought and what I'm still thinking.
Know also that I didn't want to attack anyone.
*:with the appreciative comments of the community of course
EDIT : even if I don't belive it, I really hope it is a April's Fools joke. And if it is one, it is very bad, I don't laugh about/with that.

TSoD, I really am sorry that you're disappointed, but remember that there are other ways of showing appreciation. Just because there isn't an icon under your profile, does not mean that the respect and appreciation aren't there.
I fully realize that people who spent a long time earning QP's will feel a loss, certainly people did take pride in them
But consider the flip-side for just a minute... The system is flawed in that it relies on people to award qp's, and different people's opinions on what is "quality' or not.
Think on how many QP's we haven't given, but should have. So many people thinking that since we haven't given them a QP, we don't value them as members - that we don't think what they have to add is "quality".
We've missed a lot of people, mods go through periods of activity (guilty!!) sometimes we're busy and we don't read as thoroughly, or we don't have time to be thinking in terms of watching for quality - and then some people get left out.
That's really one of the more regrettable things about the way the system was... now at least people won't see the absence of stars by their names, and wonder why they weren't given any.

I'm just waiting for the mods to set everyone's post limit and floodprotect to reasonable levels.
Or for me to become a mod. Knowing HC, the second will happen before the first.

Oh God. I thought the real reason for QPs was to make it easier to find/recognize good posts. And this thread has gone on for almost 20 pages while this has just been mentioned once  It really shows that people didn't think of QPs as Quality posts but as Quality Persons

Edna your being naive. Excuse me for saying so. There's a lot more to QPs than the attributes you give them. Check my post one page before this... it might give you an idea. Or it might not. Who cares...
Maybe you don't really realize it but generalizing as much as you do you're close to insulting people...
