Nrrg.
I dont' support the Animeishness, it feels too separate from the art we've always had for Heroes. However, Heroes on the DS is a turn for the better.

well the ds doesn't have as great graphical capabilities. perhaps its a move for the better since doing graphics more like the original h5 wouldn't work out.
At least they aren't going super realistic looking for at least one degree of consistency.

*sigh* I just hope they will atleast change the name so it makes sense. Might & Magic was a squad game heavy on dices with a long epic story, in first person.
Heroes is a great turn based stratergy with giantic army stacks going and killing other armies and siegeing castles with the main element of a uber powerfull hero backing the army in its ways.
Dark Messiah was a little acceptable in ways of being called Might & Magic since it was first person atleast.
But this is not either of them.

But nintendo is not touching it, those crappy devs are making a game for the DS. A proper Might & Magic or Heroes would run on it, so thats not the problem. The problem are the devs. Why did they not make their own crappy franchise with these ideas?

I've not played much the Heroes V campaigns, so I don't really recognize some of the heroes. Could someone tell me who is Aidan, Nadia and Fiona?

Fiona is the mother of Nicolai and the sister of Godric, she is mentioned briefly in Heroes V.
About the rest, I think they are new characters. They can't make a new game in a Universe without adding new characters.
About the release date, I heard 25 August. I'm not sure this is the date, but it's something around 25.

This Fiona looks like a Necromancer though, so she might not be the same person. While Queen Fiona had some connection to the Necromancers (Markal), there was no indication she was actually undead.
How'd that work, an undead girl ruling the Griffin Empire?
So either it's concidence or they haven't really done the research on Fiona.
Edit: Just noticed the screenshot where Markal talks to Fiona. Yeah, they didn't do the research.

They did do the research, it's the exact same people writing the story. It's just a detail you didn't expect.
On that note, I may be on track to getting an interview with a Ubisoft employee who's willing to answer fan-submitted questions - probably best off asking some veered towards the story, setting and timeline and the game's general style. I'm open for any questions you guys might have about Clash of Heroes and will forward them on for answers

I didn't expect it because it makes no sense unless they invent a way to turn undeads back to life. And even then, how could an ex-Necromancer become a queen of the Griffin Empire?
