I'm happy to see a Warcraft movie coming out, but there is better news attached to this: a Warcraft movie being released means we'll be seeing a Starcraft movie a few years down the road. That game was built for the big screen. Zerg. Terran. Protoss. Oh yes.
En Taro Adun, executor.
Ahhh.... at last.
This for the swarm!
Oh yes.

Best part about Starcraft is that it's story isn't particularly deep or complicated either, it far from bad, and ideal for a movie or a game.

I don't know why you would dis a movie like Warcraft for having CGI.
I think it's more like good CGI versus bad CGI.
Disney's new Jungle Book movie is a resounding example of the former.

So I watched X-Men: Apocalypse. It was an ok movie, not as terrible as the reviews, but still with a lot of issues.
The pace was off. It goes very slow for over half of the movie, then abruptly kicks off. Only the last arc has action scenes, which is a big shame.
Too much CGI at the same time on the screen, it was distracting and...useless?
Apocalypse made for an actually threating villian (unlike say, Ultron) but the stakes were never high, you pretty much knew who was going to win. Oscar Isaac was over qualified for that role.
THe four 'horsemen' were rushed and underdeveloped with the exception of...you guessed it right, Magneto! Then he becomes a part of the background while the X-men are confronting Apocalypse. The snow?
Quicksilver had the best scene of the movie...again! Not that I complain!
There's also another great comic-esque scene, but I won't spoil whose is
Young Jean Grey, Cyclops, Storm, Psilocke, etc...were good as characters. Action too with the exception of perhaps Jean Grey actress, whcih I found a tad wooden. However...
...there was no emotional attachment. The lack of continuity between films is killing the franchise, the storylines are encapsulated and do not feel as a part of a trilogy/on going series. This issue is going to be accentuated if the next one is set on the 90s.
The ending was abrupt and very silly. And Mangeto urghhhhh
Overall I'd give it a 6/10 at best and I would not recommend to watch it on the cinema, unless you are a big comic nerd (in which case you will enjoy the action pieces).

Don't know should I thank you Storm or call you a spoiler
I will skip it, unless I got really cheap ticket for the movie. One question tough: Compared two previous ones how Apocalypse stands. What rating would you give the last two X-men?

Now now, I avoid revealing any big spoiler, action scenes included. A spoiler tag would make life in this threads so much easier
I haven't revisted them for a while, but I guess I'd give First Class a solid 7.5 and Days of the Future Past a 7-8? I did enjoy DotFP a ton, but at the sime time I also had some issues with it. It seems to be the motto of this trilogy, I'm never fully happy with them

Let's hope that its storyline doesn't get hidden by fart and penis jokes. I like both Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe as actors, so I might give this film a shot when and if it comes out in Poland.

tried watching "the do-over"(while eating breakfast). i got about halfway through. it wasn't bad at all(unlike many of adam sandler's movies), until the second half revealed something that made the first half not make any sense whatsoever. completely ruined the movie for me. it's like the writers gave up halfway through. the cinematography was better than most of his movies, tho.

Is it bad of me to revive this thread?
Anyway, was there any Warcraft movie so far? Or is the movie spoken in that thread cancelled?

The only Warcraft film that actually exists is the one that is going to be released soon/has just been released (depends on the country you live in,) called "Warcraft: Origins," directed by Duncan Jones.

watched "alice - through the looking glass" if you are an adult, avoid at all costs. if you are a child, you might not care about the horrible cgi, retarded storyline, etc, etc. one of the worst movies i've ever seen. made me lose respect for johnny depp as an actor; even tho a few of his lines were actually funny. only one funny scene in the whole movie, and the only part worth watching. wait for a youtube video of that or something. this movie blows. it should have gone straight to dvd. that they would put this in theaters is an insult to good sense everywhere.
imo, hollywood need punished for this kind of snow. the movie was so bad, that people need beat down for even making it.

I've bought myself "Fargo" on Blu-Ray and after watching it I must say that it impressed me. Not only it is a stellar example of a distinct style of Coens' writing, it is the first movie ever in which I especially appreciate its editing. Add to that beautiful cinematography and a great performance by Frances McDormand and we get a one of the best films I've seen in a while.
