just seen into the wild, maybe it is actually the way life should be lived since it is actually easier to have a relationship with a tree than with most human beings.

I can't be the only one who found that guy an insufferable pain the ass, can I?
I mean, yeah, it's terrible that he died, but damn he comes off annoying in the book and the film.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a very good movie; I liked it better than the original save for the ending, which was somehow less heartening.

I just really disliked him, obviously a very subjective thing, but I was really not at all a fan of him. His personality came off as really arrogant and holier-than-thou to me.
Made in Germany in 1920. It's a silent flick with "special effects" that are pretty good, considering it was made 90+ years ago. This film has to have been a benchmark for fantasy film makers.
I got it from a library.

On Christmas Eve in Finland, Santa Claus is unearthed in an archaeological dig. Soon after, children start disappearing, leading a boy and his father to capture Santa and, with the help of fellow hunters, they look to sell him back to the corporation that sponsored the dig. And then there's Santa's elves, who are determined to free their leader...
The Last House on the Left (1970's)
Maniac Cop
No Country For Old Men
Basket Case
Basket Case 2
Straw Dogs
Zombie Flesh Eaters
The Beyond
Boogie Nights
The House on the Edge of the Park.
The notable highlights were No Country for Old Men, Boogie Nights and Straw Dogs. I found Straw Dogs to leave me tense throughout the whole film as I felt for the actor as he was an outsider and he and his wife were being treated quite poorly. It's a great film and the end scene is great.
I've got Cannibal Holocaust, one of the most controversial films of all time. Those kinds of films don't usually phase me so I'll probably watch it tonight or perhaps tomorrow sometime.
I have to say that the two best things in Zombie Flesh Eaters were the title track which I found quite eerie but very good. It set the tone for the movie straight away so it worked very well. The other thing that I thought was awesome was a zombie fighting a shark underwater. How epic. lol
Well, I just finished watching Cannibal Holocaust and I have to say....it's a really good film. Many people believe it to be just a gore fest or something like that but the movie is really a hell of a lot more than that. I really enjoyed watching it. Not for the faint of heart though as some scenes can be disturbing. They weren't for me but just saying.
Quote:Watched The Ultramarines movie last night that just came out. Considering the limited budget it was very good.
Nice! I'm hoping to get that soon, good to know it came out well.

I like what they are doing with fast and furious. The last one was a tad weak but this has potential.

The friggin' soundtrack in the trailer threw me off.
I knew it would be a child friendly movie, but I thought it would be in a classy sort of way, like with Shrek or Lion King or something. It's just an action movie designed for elementary kids. And the acting? What is it I don't even.
The funny part is, I'm still going to watch the 2nd one.

Shyamalan has been taken out of the project Better this way too, he sucked out all the soul out of the series.
