I'm gonna go watch True Grit tomorrow.
Saw the trailer for it a few days ago and I was like "Coen Brothers? Awesome... let's see the actors-OMG JEFF ****ING BRIDGES! This is gonna be fricking AWESOME! ORDER TICKETS NAUW DAMNIT!"

Just watched it, was nice. Has that lovely wild west feel about it and some amazing performances, especially the little girl and Jeff Bridges Was kinda funny seeing Matt Damon on that role but it suited him after all.

I saw Avatar: The last airbender yesterday, mostly because I used to watch the show as a kid (and still do from time to time, to be honest).
And honestly, how the snow could that movie even be released? It was probably the worst movie I've ever seen. Not that I had expected anything much better, but it's like the didn't even try to make it good.

Alright what I have seen lately.. Let's start with the bad@ss ones.
Machete, A team, crank 1&2. Not much to say, high amounts of win
Valhalla rising was.. interesting. Minimal dialogue, slow pace, beautiful and I mean amazing environment(forests, mist, nature's beauty shrouded in mystery) and a meaning that is not easy to wrest from the violent plot. Apparently people had trouble understanding what it all was about. And just so you know the story is a tale of redemption, including Christian vikings that are travelling towards Jerusalem to 'protect the holy land' but find themselves stranded on a God-forsaken wilderness. Recommended but definitely not a movie for everyone, especially if you cannot stomach its brutality.

The girl who was the start of True Grit got screwed on the Oscar nominations. She's been reduced to best supporting actress. Not sure how that works...

But she can't take it from Natalie Portman in Black Swan. Hers was a top notch performance. She already got the Golden Globe for it. So Stenfield's kinda lucky she's going for a supporting actress instead.

One of the most over-rated movies I have ever seen. There are much better thrillers out there. I agree that Portman did a good job but without Vader crying "NNNOOOOOO!!!" at the end, I just can't recommend it.
As to the girl from True Grit, what can you expect from politics? That's why I don't bother with award shows. Well, that and since I don't work in the movie industry, I really could care less who wins what. Well, except the Dark Knight. That movie got robbed.

Opinions, opinions... On the other hand, I happen to think that Dark Knight was a mediocre movie, save for Ledger's performance.
Anyways, I watched the Troll Hunter last night. I thought it was very good but I think I would have liked it better if I could understand the Norwegian culture better.

Thor looks even cooler with the newest trailer (they threw some good lulz in it). I was skeptical at first but I think they'll manage to make a good movie:

Haha that trailer was awesome, I definitely need to see that movie. I have always been weak for "Comic books movies".
Besides I need to refresh my norse mythology knowledge...

Saw The Adjustment Bureau yesterday. It was OK, similar to The Truman Show but not as good. Damon was great though. The chemistry between the leads made up for the anticlimatic ending.
