HC according to Baldur's Gate
Hello there!
As you all know, I am a BIG (as in BIG BIG BIG!!) Fan of the Baldur's Gate series.
Now, I've been planning to do something with this ...erm... fan thing, and here it is!
A Character Creator, according to HC!!
So what's the basic point? Every Member is now a Character in the HC version of Baldur's Gate, with their own Race (Including Noob, Troll and Geek), Class (eg: Moderator, Spammer, Lurker, etc...), Alignment (Lawfull Neutral, Chaotic Good and the like), Weaponry (ModSword, QuoteSword, Spambolt, Troll Claw, etc) And Special abilities.
So here's the Basics:
Races:
1) Noob: Noobs are new to the Lands of HC, and have still much to learn. They see the world unknowingly and quite naively, resulting in a Bonus to Morale. Noobs seem to be rarely entangled by Insults, Quotewars and Spam. This is enhanced by their High Dexterity. Most Noobs however do not tend to make important or memorable posts, due to their low Strength. Noobs are pure novices, but are able to advance in two Classes at the Same Time
2) Nerd: The Nerds are a Common Race in all of HC, and are cousins to the Geeks. This is due because Nerds generally prefer Intellectual Discussions and activities to the more physical stuff. Nerds get a large Bonus to Intelligence because of this, but, as they are quite vulnerable to Insults or Harmfull Spam, they have a penalty to their Constitution. The HUGE Glasses of the Nerds allow them to see in the Dark with Cybervision. Nerd sub-Species include Star Wars Fan, Warcraft Fan, Lotr Fan, LARPer and Boffin.
3) Geek: Geeks are related to the Nerds, but are a lot more peculiar in their demeanor. Unlike Nerds, who clearly love Technoligical stuff, Geeks are just plain weird, and simply have too much time to spare. Geeks tend to have High Intelligence scores, but Low Charisma. The Low Charisma isn't too bad, as Geeks do not wish to reproduce - Most are sterile anyway. They too have Cybervision. Several Subraces to the Geek include: Cybergeek, LazerEye, Warper, Freak and Technocrat.
4) Half-Nerd: Most HCians are Half-Nerds. They are best described as People who do have a life. Half-Nerds recieve a limited resistance to Harmfull Spam, Rants and Quotewars. Most Half-Nerds can also see in the Dark with Cybervision (most have Glasses, you see). They are by far the most "Normal" Race in HC.
5) Troll: The Trolls are a Race of Chaotic Spammers and Thread Killers that roam HC. Being Disliked by most other Races, Trolls have to endure much hardship and negativity, so much that they actually have gotten used to it (And semi-resistant). When Trolls post, they immedeately attract a lot of attention, and are very hard to restrain from Posting at all (high Strength and Consitution). They however have a LARGE penalty to Both Wisdom and Charisma. Trolls are very vulnerable to Flaming and Spam, but resistant to most other forms of harm.
6) Necro: Necroes are obsessed with the Undead. They pose and act as Undead in HC, though they truly are not dead (yet). Necroes have studied the Ancient Archives and Factions of the Undead, and usually know more than any other race (even the Geeks). Necroes get a Bonus to Lore, allowing them to identify Items more easily. They also have High Constitution. However, HCians do tend to take posts made by Necroes less serious than often (especially if their name contains the words "Dead", "Reaper" or "Dark" as well), resulting in a lower Strength. Necroes are almost always Evilly aligned. Subspecies include, but aren't limited to: Reapers, Liches, Vampires, Wights and Shadows
7) Cyberpimp: Are more Rare and Secretive race, the Cyberpimps are all what other races are not: Confident, Sexy and no longer virgins. Their Libido guides them more than their brain, resulting in a Penalty in Intelligence, but a Bonus in Charisma. When Cyberpimps are in the party, all party-members of the opposing Sex (unless they are Geeks) will be wooed by Cyberpimps. Cyberpimps don't have Cybervision, but get a Bonus with all Melee Weapons. Regardless of Class, they start Basic Profiency in Charm Darts, which they can always use. They themselves are resistant to Charms and Flattery themselves.
Classes:
1) Moderator: Moderators are the Paladin's of Order inthe Lands of HC. They are the true source of Power in the Communityn and serve as a beacon of Justice. This forces Moderators to be of Either Good or Lawfull Alignment. The Moderator's Prime Prequisites are Strength and Charisma.
Special Abilities: - Quality Point: Blesses the Allied Target for 5 turns. One Point/day can be awarded for each 4 levels.
- Penalize Weapon: Imbues the Moderator's attack with the power of Penalty. Targets struck by the Penalized weapon suffer a Morale and Luck penalty for 3 Rounds. Usable once per day. Penalizing may result in a Morale penalty for Close-by Allies, so beware to use this.
- Lay-on-Modhands: Heals 2 Hit Points for every level of the Moderator. Usable once per day
- Immune to Bad Spam: Bad Spam Cannot Harm Moderators, and Good Spam has a double effect.
- Spellcasting: At level 9, Moderators can cast spells, thought at a lower mastery and in a lower number than other spellcasters do. Spells are equal to those the Strategists can cast.
KITS: - Backhand of Justice: Bonus damage to Evil Characters, Trolls and Spammers. (tripple damage for Evil Troll-like Spammers). The bless effect from Quality Points is doubled. However, Backhands may not penalize. Must be of Lawfull Good or Lawfull Neutral Alignment.
- Favorists: Favorists are able to bond with a Party member, turning the Member into a Back Seat Mod. Back Seat Mods get minor Moderator abilities, like Lay-on-Modhands and Immunity to Bad Spam. Favorists themselves cannot use these abilities however. Favorists cannot be of Lawfull Alignment.
- Chaocrats: Chaocrats are close to Mages, being able to cast Simple spells: these Spells are "Chaos", "Confusion", "Heal Spam", "Summon Fiend", "Mod Warning", "Warding Whip", "Stern Gaze", "Sword of Striking", "Banishment", "Silence 15' Radius", "Hold Member" and "Protection from Normal Quotes". Chaocrats however cannot penalize and QP members. Lay-on-Modhands only heals half the damage it normally should.
2) Spammer (ThreadSlayer - Derailer - Floodmaster)
3) Artist (Peanutteer - RolePlayer - Altarist)
4) Strategist (Rusher - Tactician - Creeper)
5) Othersider (QuoteWarrior - Philosopher - Ranter)
6) Cybergrunt (Gamer - Flamer - Smartass)
7) Lurker (ShadeLord - ShadowLurker - Stealth)
Classes, Alignments and Weapon Types/Attack will be posted soon (no time now, sadly)
And them of course... It's showtime
So, first impressions?

Some things in the geek case, like the low charisma or non-technical affinity, are wrong, especially the latter. The typical "dork" attitude can only be a nerd (no, not all nerds are dorks of course, but it cannot be a geek), and geeks by definition are experts in a technical field.
For the low charisma being wrong, think of Neo in the Matrix for a cool geek
